Some one several days ago during their review of Cyberpirates (I think
it was Bull) mentioned a Jurassic Run. Is their a run based on Jurassic
Park with dinos and stuff? This would be totally cool! If so could
someone please tell me the name of the run?

The Jurassic Run was something of a Joke that popped up a year on the list,
and was promptly turned into a Shadowrun by my GM, the Original EGM Tinner.
I followed this up by running the Lost World (THe book, not the movie)
Including a very fun encounter ala Aliens with Compy's in Air Ducts :]

There is no official Jurrasic Park style adventure, nor has one been
written up and placed on the web, though i may do that some day :]

I think Bull was referring to the run Mark Steedman (who's currentl;y not
subscribed to this list, though I have his new address) called A Walk In
The Park. I don't know the details, but IIRC it involved PCs going to the
island where Jurassic Park was set and -- naturally -- encountered the
dinosaurs living there. The reason for going there I don't know.

This is a home brew adventure, though, so I'm not sure if there's a
write-up of it on the net anywhere.

A Jurassic Run, hmm. I'll have to remember that. After all, a T-Rex would have
an intelligence of what -- 1? (Remember, Tyrannosaurus Rex defines new heights
for stupid). And those velociraptors would have an intelligence of 3 (raptors,
quick, fast, mean killing machines that have a larger brain).

All et al, sounds like fun. B-)

I had forgotten that someone else had done that run... That's what brought
it up in the first place :]

Also, keep in mind a few things...

This is an Awakened World... And who says the Dinos weren't alive during a
High Mana cycle. And maybe that's a reason the died off do suddenly...
The Mana went away, and they couldn;t survive?

Hehe...:]

Give a few dino's some Awakened Critter Powers... Firebreathing T-Rexes?
<grin>

Come on, you can do better than that! Mist Forming, Petrifying Gazing,
Essence Draining T-Rexes are a lot more fun :)

How about an awakened power for weight management for the really big ones?
Besides, have you ever heard the theory that the legends of dragons could have
been spawned by dinosaurs? Imagine what would happen to Geologic time if that
theory could be proven. <heh, heh>.

I got it! How about velociraptors that could exist in both planes? No wonder
they were effective hunters! All they had to do was lock on an aura and track
their prey that way?

Hey, wasn't there something about the Brontosaurus not being able to live,
as his heart was too weak to get enough blood to his brain?

Maybe that's nonsense (I'm not really sure where I got it), but who says
the players have to know...:)

How about a Raptor that can increase its quickness and strenght four times
per day? Or give him invisibility.....
