Anyone has a decent house rule for using drugs? The way Shadowtech
describes the reduction of damagae boxes looks much too limiting to me,
especially if one wants to play an addicted character.

I think I _had_ a rule once, but as my data Harddrive went to bit
heaven (mayitrestinpeace") I have no longer :-(

One of Gurth's Plastic Warriors books has rules; possiblty in Paranoid
Animals, but I'm not sure. Anyway, they're very good; we use them, and
we don't tend to go in for house rules much.

The house rule I've used for drug addiction is by modifying Shadowtech's
rule a bit: instead of losing .5 Essence and a Damage Box from each track
a week, roll a Body or Willpower test (as appropriate for the drug)
against your current Addiction rating. The Essence loss is .5 / (successes
+ 1), and you lose a Damage Box if you get no successes at all.

I think there's a set in one of Gurth's books (Project 3? I think?). I
haven't looked over it or FASA's sets real closely yet, 'cause I haven't
had time to do anything with any of it:)

POST IT! POST IT! please ...

Yup, RL drug addicts make it a lot longer than Shadowtech describes
the results.

Do you mind read, or what?

It rests with mine, I think. But tht's really sorry for that rule.

BTW, I'm still thinking on a rule, but it worked out more diffcult
and complex than I first thought it would. I'm not yet satisfied.
