Potential Spoiler

Okay, that is enough. The movie is fairly old.

Malasar and "Magistre" (I haven't watched my copy in quite a while now) are
the opponents in the movie, both of whom are really old beings. Malasar is
the "Villain", one whose "essence" is locked up in "the
Keep". As the Nazi's
continue to remain within the Keep, Malasar get's out of his prison (now
*THAT* is a room!!!) and wreak havoc upon his "fellow cellmates".

I would definitely quantify Malasar as a being akin to "the Horrors", as the
way he feeds off of the Nazi's and continues to "develop a new body" is really
awesome. Personally, I liked his mistform better.

"Magistre" is the good guy (one of the Caradine's play the character), and is
not one for many words (the strong, really strong, silent type). To me, he'd
be the "lost hero".

BTW, if you actually read the book "the Keep", you would find out that
"cross"
is actually a "Hilt", and that "Rod" is actually a "Blade",
and the sword they
make when they come together is *RIGHTEOUS*

Yes, yes it is... give me a second...

I was wrong on one, it's Scott Glenn, not one of the Caradine's (went into the
living room to get mine).

Paramount Pictures (Howard Koch Jr. movie)
1983

Additional stars include...

Alberta Watson
Jurgerten Prochnow
Robert Prosky
Gabriel Byrne
Ian McKellen (as Dr. Kuza- cool role that one)
Tangerine Dream did the sound/music
Novel is by F. Paul Wilson

IMO .. a definite concept for a Euro-based game, especially if you were to
substitue "Der Nactwhatstherenames" (the Policlubbers) for the Nazi's. Would
be a REAL killer twist.
