Subject: Killing hands and Shock Gloves (no lasers)

Just wondering. Could a PhysAd wearing shock gloves (or any gloves for
that matter) still using Killing Hands? I know Killing Hands uses mana to
create the physical damage.

could easily understand a GM saying 'No'.

I don't think this has ever been addressed in any Shadowrun product,
though, so it's your call.

*Doc' wears shock gloves to prevent him from accidentally killing
himself when he picks his nose. Of course, frying his nostril hairs is
not particularly pleasant either...*

My take is, Killing Hands is a magical effect, the catch-all game mechanic
for things such as the legendary 'Dim Mak'. Legend has it that the ancient
masters of Dim Mak techniques required only the slightest contact with the
victim.

As the GM, I would require that the player inform me at the outset whether
his character's Killing Hands requires solid strikes or light touches. I
would allow the striker to use shock gloves... but never use his ability in
a 'stealthy' fashion. The damage would be resisted separately.

Make since. You could also say that the gloves are bulky and requires a
closed fist punch and Killing hands requires more finesse and control like
maybe only a 2 finger strike to the neck. Whose to say killing Hands has to
be hands, how about killing feet? Would you have to choose whether to use
feet or hands when you buy it?
