I've got a couple of questions about EarthDawn for anyone on the list that
happenes to know much about the game. They're both to do with the general
geography/game world for ED.

Firstly, can anyone confirm that India is either part of the Theran empire
or has been discovered by Thera?

Also, are any points of Western Europe covered in the ED world? I know that
Germany is obliquely mentioned as a far off land where Alamais's brother
lives- Germany. Or is it simply covered as an uncharted area filled with
savage uncivilised tribes? Thanks.

yep. it is part of the theran empire. there's all sorts of
information in the theran empire sourcebook.

germany, known as vasgothia, is also covered in the theran empire
sourcebook. italy is also covered in the same sourcebook, but imho is
the weakest part of the book.

in general all the theran empire sourcebook does is take actual
historical cultures (india, egypt, gothic/barbarian germany,
renaissance italy (huh!?!), and northern africa/morocco) and put an
earthdawn "skin" on them. there are some interesting tidbits, but
overall not work the cover price.

to my knowledge, the rest of western europe is covered only in very
oblique terms. only a few places are mentioned, and very much in
passing reference.

hope this helps,

d.
