Hu, no, thank god or whatever else, it isn't official. There was major
stress between Jeux Descartes (the french editor) and FASA, since Descartes
wished to make it official and translated in english, like Deutschland in
den Schatten by FanPro. But Descartes published it before even submitting a
rough translation... Which discarded any further developpment.
Hopefully for us, in fact. That book is quite terrible. Though it has some
good ideas, and provides a quite different feeling than UCAS-shadowrunning,
the history is lacking any kind of plausibility, the writing is bland (the
main text body isn't in-character, and shadowtalk is laaaaaame), the art is
just ugly, and above all it is disgustingly drippling with chauvinism and
clueless, thick ED crossover stuff.
Did you knew that France had a big /open/ horror gate ?
Did you knew that France had the largest dragon of the world ?
Did you knew that France kicked the megacorps out, and they didn't even
dared to reply ?
Did you knew french people had very big d***s ?
*sigh*
But there is still some good stuff in it, and the book is quite well
balanced between general background and local details, making it easy to
use for the GM. It is neverless lightyears away from FASA standards.
For rabid collectors or people still eager to have some ready material for
France, you can find it for example there:
http://www.crypte-neodelas.fr/
or there :
http://www.starplayer.com or .fr, I don't remember.
Cover price is 165 FF - around 21 US$, without shipping.

P.S.: no, I'm not advocating for the EuroSB project. No, I'm obviously not...
BTW, Mike Mulvihill received a quick and direct translation of Shadowrun
France a few weeks ago.
