Okay folks, I'm going to put the big kibosh on the leather bound SR3 for
GenCon.

I just recieved an e-mail direct from FASA's marketing department, who
found the concept of a leather bound SR3 rather funny actually.

So the answer is officially "NO!" Plain old hardback copies will have to do.

I think this should effectively kill this rumor.

Sorry, but the handcuff version and the rope bound version will be not done
by FASA, you'll have to do it yourself.

Damn. I'm not sure if I would pay $70 for the leather edition of the
new version of Vampire: The Masquerade that White Wolf is putting out
(this is not a rumor, btw), but if FASA were to put out a comparable
product of SR3 in the same price range, I probably would buy it.

But since they aren't, it's a moot point.

Yeah, but what about the Chrome / Heavy Metal bound version that was
specially designed for the cyber freaks? If I remember correctly it
had 4/2 armour for those impopular GM's, packed a nastly STR+4M
stun vs annoying players, included a calculator and electronic
dice roller, had a pop up swiss army knife for those hard to open
beer bottles and crisp bags, a cellular phone in the back for those
emergency pizza calls and a photo copier for extra character sheets.
It's going to be published at a ratio of 1 per 50 hard backs so be
quick!

Hmm... Doesn't this thread seem to be getting a little close to the lines
of off-topicness? I know that its about the future bindings of SR3, but
cmon, guys... Doesn't this thread deserve an [OT] in the header?
