I think I found another SR-Earthdawn link yesterday.
In the Vivane province book, I found an elf named Leonarus or something
like that. he was into magic and a theory that it had to do with light.
Now you guys already discused that Leonardo was Brightlight, and this
seems like the same person. maybe this was _the_ hint that leo was BL?
Or is there something else I missed. At least I'm sure this is leo, as
it's even from the same author, and we know how much cCarl was into the
immortal elves thing...

Immortal elves??? Kill them all!!!!!
The amount of FASA material published on them is way over the top....
you'd think they were gods or something, because they are the only ones
that seem capable of saving the world every time, with enough time left
for tea. You'd think that the rest of the metahuman races were second
class citizens.

Sure, the elves think that... but it doesn't have to be true.

Harlequin and Ehran were cool ideas when they were brought in, but it's
been thouroughly Tolkeinised since then.

Other than a few (fairly bad) Shadowrun novels, where do you get that
impression? I find that the sourcebooks leave them appropriately distant,
behind-the-scenes characters.

What i fear is that Fasa will make the Mistake off putting the immortals
into the same
status as.Some of the super chars that were around in AD&Ds Forgotten realms.
as much as i hated the game i finally quit playing it when Elminster or another
Fucking superbeing would turn up to tell us what and what not we could do in
ewery adventure written for the game.

Yeah, I guess that the novels have pissed me off.... It's a shame that
N. Findley is no longer with us; He used to write well, and didn't have to
use super-elves to make a plot (Black Madonna comes immediately to mind)

Brightlight is another one of those enigmatic characters that has shown up
in the sourcebooks posting cryptic comments with The Laughing Man and the
Big D...

Leonardo is from teh novel Black madonna, and is Leonardo Davinci (sp??),
the famous artist. He was shown to be still alive and really an immortal
elf... And has been identified as Brightlight...

I whole heartedly agree. Perhaps a collaberation( spelling? ) is in order.
The elves have two, source books, The Orks and Trolls have a huge kingdom in
Germany. What about the dwarves. Perhaps the a dwarf stronghold would be a
good idea for a NERPS project or perhaps the two of us could work on
something. Nothing the screams of Tolkien but powerful none the less. Get
back with me.

If you have to ask then it's probably classified.
Which means that I have to follow protocol.
But if you ask nicley I might forget that you asked.
Then again maybe not.
