Subject: | LET'S GET THIS APDS DREK STRAIGHT! re-po |

this is absolutely un-interesting to the rest of the world, I'll live with
that.... just let me know, OK?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Uh...this is getting confusing...
Let's see if I can get this straight without the rules in my hand.
Please try to keep this table intact and don't _comment_ within it. Let it
circulate and
get updated and corrected. I just like the idea of a reference table.:-)
(and if possible, delete those annoying >s! :-)
Here we go...
----------------------------------------------------------------
Definitions:
Light weapons: Anything Lighter than an MMG.
Heavy Weapons: Anything Heavier than an LMG.
Soft targets: Anything utilizing soft armor, i.e. it has a 'Ballistic'-
value.
Hard targets: Vehicle armor, Mil-spec Armor suits, Critter Hard armor
and Armor equipped with gel-packs...
Power Level: The number part of the Damage code.
Damage Level: The letter part of the damage code.
Against soft targets:
Light and heavy weapons firing through using
Standard ammo Base damage code/ Full Armor.
APDS Base damage code/ Half Armor.
Against hard targets:
Light weapons firing through using
Standard Ammo Will not penetrate.
APDS Halved barrier rating.
Light weapons trying to do damage to _ using
Standard Ammo Not possible.
APDS ??? (Out of memory :-)
Heavy weapons firing through using
Standard Ammo Full Barrier rating.
APDS Halved Barrier rating.
Heavy weapons trying to do damage to _ using
Standard Ammo Full Barrier rating.
Damage level reduced by one.
APDS Halved Barrier rating.
Damage level reduced by one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I _think_ this is according to the rules. (At least this is the way we've
run things.Misunderstandings are possible, of course. I'll have to check out
'Vehicles, magic and damage' or whatever that chapter is called in SRII)
It gets a bit confusing when separating 'firing through' and 'trying to
damage' but those are the barrier rules, if I'm not mistaken. No need
repeating them here.
I've had difficulties following your conversation regarding this because
some of my mail was trashed earlier. You're welcome to comment and (most of
all) _correct_ this but add something like 'Updated by me' BELOW. And please
notify us of any house rules.
Thanks.
