If you're looking for a life path that's already available, check out TSS-8
- there's a SR2 compatible lifepath system called Origins in that issue,
and with a few tweakings it should work with SR3.

the tweakings are very minor, only problem ive seen is that, of the
three characters made for the campaign im in, all of them winded up
alcoholics one of them three times over, other than that its cool
