One of my chars is currently in that position. He's been 'running for 8
years (50-57) and he's finally 'made it'. He has a perm. high lifestyle
in whatever area of Seattle would be appropriate (don't know much about
Seattle)... anyway, he has 'retired' himself from shadowrunning... Why?
Because he doesn't need to anymore. He got into 'running in the first
place to get more money (that's what is started out as, his objectives
quickly changed...) He has remained as legit as one can throughout his
career... he has always been one for non-lethal force, if possible, and
as little lethal force as possible... At this point in time he is doing
*legit* security work, mostly as a consultant... (he got his initial
training from Ares KE...)

<snip> stuff on lifestyles of the shadow and taxes...

"Hmm.. Mr. Kelley is it? Well we would be very interested in knowing
where your income is coming from..."

"I work for Ares, sir... you can check their records if you need too.
:) That was 3250NY I owed sir? :) "

(IRS guys goes and checks out Ares <or whatever corp>)

"<squeaky voice> Yes sir, we have a Mr. Kelley on staff here... <swivels
the computer screen around>, here is his financial records... I think you
will find that everything is in order. Have a nice day. :) "
