Hello again, more questions for the magical able out there,

Afetr looking throught the books I can find nothing to help out on the two
following subjects:

1) Links - should a mage "lose" his Thesis, I know there's a link between
him and it. Logic (too much Star Trek) would dictate that the could
be traced both ways, yet it doesn't state that anywhere. Can he follow it
back (since it's part of him) and could someone try to hide the link in the
meta planes to make it more difficult for the mage that's lost it to find ?

2) Groups - What happens when the group your dies or splits up ?
Would this be bad in a karmic sense ( ie be assensed in an astral way when
trying to join another group) or would the remaining mage/s have to make
some form of Magic test or do some sort of quest to avoid a Geas ?

3) Magical Barriers - Could you give permission to someone/thing to enter
the barrier ? (ie Another mage's ally) Or does it beat its way in ?

4) Quicken Spells - since they can't be hidden, due to being separate astal
objects would/could there be a form of Meta Magic to hide these similar to
masking ? If so, could a metamage Mask someone elses aura ?

Gosh, I'm full of questions this week *grin*

Your Comments, as always thought over and digested, welcome

Don't see why not. The link (like all such links) can be traced both ways.
(Sez so somewhere in the section on Astral space, I think. I know that in
Sprawl Sites, one of the random encounters is a mage tracing down his spell
locks which were stolen).
'Course, if the person holding the thesis was worried about the mage finding
him, said person could always pump several hundred spells down that link.

*shrug* I play that prior membership to a group could be detected in an aural
examanation (That's a look at the aura, not the ears. :). Wether another group
would take the mage in would depend on that group, I guess.

Interesting question. NEXT!!

If I remember right, an initiate can mask a number of spell locks/quickenings
equal to his grade. (BTW, spell-locks can't be hidden either. For some reason,
the magic gets lost on the way back... :)

IMHO, nothing except that you don't get a discount on your next
initiations. Groups join together to make it easier to learn or
experience some of the fundamental secrets of the True World; once
you've learned said secrets, you've learned them.
