This is going to come off as sounding a bit grumpy, but I think it needs to
be said:

We deal with each and every violation of the posting guidelines in private,
when we get the chance, which for me hasn't been all that frequent lately,
but David and Tim are both on the ball during daytime hours in North America.

So, when you see a post that violates the guidelines, assume that GridSec
will be dealing with it as soon as they see it, and then go onto the next
post.

One of the reasons we started GridSec was so people didn't Have to post to
the list complaining about someone elses posting violations, and we're
doing our end of the job, so please, do yours -- ignore postings that
violate the posting guidelines.

I do ignore them. Several other list members don't. I think if GridSec
had a more visible presence, then the list members who feel they have
to try to take matters in their own hands would be less inclined to do
so. It was just a suggestion, there's no need to get defensive about
it. :)
