This question came to me after my violin lesson. My
instructor explained that my slowness in learning a piece came from my
left brain reading the notes, crossing to my right brain to send the
signal to my left hand (right hand is bowing already), then the back
and forth conversation between the halves as they interpreted the
outcome.
Here's the question, with nanoseconds at risk and different
parts of the brain set for different tasks, where on the
head would a datajack be? Would it be different for different tasks,
say, riggers and deckers? The books seem to imply the temple, but
that seems more for aesthetic reasons.

Hmm, I think the physical location is irrelevant, and instead it will
have wires connecting itself whith whatever area it needs to go to.

Where it is on your body has mostly to do with function, and appearance

The location of the datajack would probably depend on wether you are left or
right handed. (Right hands are controlled by the left half of the brain,
mostly, and left is vice-versa). The left brain seems more oriented towards
logical/deductive things like mathematics and reading. The right half of the
brain seems more creatively inclined.
(As a side point, to determine the "handness" of a person, look at their eyes,
not their hands. Many naturally left handed people have been trained to use
their right hands, but if their eyes differ in strength, their left eye is
dominant.)

As for the placement in the head: 1) Isn't there a temple on each side?
2) The temple is where the skull is thinest. So it's less effort, probably
closer to the part of the brain they want to get to, and reinforces a natural
weakness.

check out shadowtech for some specific ideas as to the locations of
headware it seems like an expandable motherboard type setup is implanted
and this has an array of chip jacks and a local for the jack as well
