Uh...well, he's a great dragon. He's Alamais' brother. He owns the world's
largest megacorp. What else would you like to know?

I knew that, but I was thinking more along the lines of what is he up
to...you know, evil/worldsaving plans, etc?

Erhm, beg to disagree. In Corp DL it is continuously mentioned that SK /is/
the largest megacorp. I just finished reading it so I'm pretty sure about
this.

Echo that. Check the first paragraph of the Saeder-Krupp section,
and the first paragraph of the Aztechnology section (just to name two).

Some justification for your statement might be in order, as no one seems to
recall the facts you state.

Not having read Corporate Download I can't say, but the question
becomes "larger in what way?" Do they have the highest value of net
assets? Do they make the largest profit? Do they employ the most people?
Do they own more subsidiaries than any other mega? "Largest" is a pretty
vague term when dealing with corporations.

According to Justin Berman, at 7:27 on 11 Nov 99, the word on the street
was...

How do you figure that? In both books, S-K gets the highest total rating
of all the megacorps: 124 in Corporate Shadowfiles, and 91 (using a
revised ratings system) in Corporate Download. Furthermore, just about
every text on S-K mentions somewhere that it's the world's largest
megacorp.

I believe they mean, "most massive," as in the megacorporation that weighs
the most. Saeder-Krupp pretty much has this one nailed down, as the total
weight of its products, facilites, and CEO, in metric tonnes, is greater
than any other megacorporation by several orders of magnitude.

In the Shadowfiles, it does have the largest "total rating"
(about 124, the others don't get to 120). But financial figures don't
mean that much when you talk about Edge (treat your corps as William
Gibson treats his and the Sixth World becomes that much more enjoyable
:) ). But Lofwyr, being the dragon he is, will have tankfuls of Edge
anyway :) .

I have to admit, I'm kinda curious about this myself. From his 'villanous'
activity that is shown in the novels/adventures, he seems to be a
run-of-the-mill Corporate pres. Honestly, does he do that many things
differently than Damien Knight? Before you call that normal... compare
Lofwyr's coverage to the coverage of Dunky. [Yes, I realize Dunky's more
photogenic, but that shouldn't be terribly relevent for game materiel]
Dunkelzahn is also extremely devious, but we get to see glimpses of his
unique (dragon?) brand of schemes. But with Lofwyr, we get tech grabs, new
magic items that need to be grabbed, and shutting down political/corporate
rivals... not exactly the kind of schemes you expect from an ancient dragon.
Perhaps I should clarify. I'M not familiar with Lofwyr's schemes. So if
anyone knows what he's doing in the novels, please iluminate.
