I just had a campaing idea bounce into my head this morning and it refuses to
bounce out. But, in some ways I'm not sure if it would be... umm..
believable. So, do any of you think Lone Star would use Shadow assets? in
particular, Shadow Assests to go after targets they couldnt otheriwse bring
to the bar of Justice legaly?

Of course...at the very least I could see a cop who was taken off a case
hiring a Shadowrun team to settle a vendetta with an arch-rival, or to do
some dirty-work without getting his hands dirty. Whether he's a beat cop or
a commissioner is easily worked in.

Actually, in our games now for almost a year (it'll be a year on Dec 20th
IIRC...have to check the calendar to be precise)...we've have "Lone Stars'
Skip Tracer Program" (LoSS TraP) in effect within the our Tuesday game, and
it is turning out to be really cool alternative for some characters that are
involved. And besides, it's even been fun watching them save Lone Star
investigators from their own enemies now-and-again.

Check out New Seattle, page 76 on Lone Star in Seattle. The commander of
the division in Seattle has recently reestablished a program called the
Shadowriders. The purpose is to hire "irregular assets" to take care of the
jobs that LS can't handle on their own. Sounds exactly like what you're
looking for.
