I am starting work on a sourcebook for the CAS since there doesn't seem to be
alot of info available. If anyone has ideas or CAS info I would be glad to hear it.

No ideas, but that's a sourcebook I'd like to see. So much potential
with CFS, Aztlan, CL and the nature of the area. Oh boy oh boy oh boy.

Well, good luck with the project, I know how difficult it can be. :)

The (out-of-print) Neo-Anarchist's Guide to North America has a bit on
Atlanta. And the current and new Target: Smuggler's Havens has info on New
Orleans.

I think Cyberpirates (recent) has some info on Florida. It's Miami
specific, but I think there's some info there that you could use.

In books like the London and the Germany sourcebooks there are mentions,
typically what diplomatic relations are like with the CAS. Not terribly
helpful though.

>Guns don't kill people, bullets kill people.

No no, you've got that wrong. That should read: "Guns don't kill people.
I kill people."

Geez...

It was my understanding that there -was- a Target: CAS (and that it was
quite good) but that it was out of print ... Living in Texas, I would
-LOVE- to get my mitts on it ... (btw, a friend of mine was seriously
pissed about the bit about Texas [bottom of pg 28] in the history of
things ...)

There /is/ a Target: UCAS and it's still in print. :) I've not heard
of Target: CAS, (checks FASA online catalogue) Nope, can't find a thing.

You've lost me, The only thing I can find on the bottom of page 28 in
the Target: UCAS book is a reference to the Stock Exchange. Oh well, we
must get different books here in the UK. :)

I wrote a piece called "Shadowtourists guide to New Orleans" it's on
Paolo's web site in "Places". Feel free to use it, just don't change it (of
course). Note: it generated some debate the last time I was on the list.
Some of the local Nawliner's ... heh now there's a word felt I had wandered
a little bit from what they would have considered reasonable. I disagree,
but that's another story.

Considering New Orleans takes center stage (sort of) in target: Smugglers
Havens, there's also an official source of info on this now :]

There's no Target: CAS, nor a Neo-A Guide to the CAS or
anything similar. However, there IS a chapter in the Neo-A Guide
to North America that deals with the CAS as a whole, one about
Atlanta, and one about Dallas/Ft. Worth. The NAGNA has been
long out of print, though, so you may have a hard time finding a
copy.

As has been said, there is some info about Florida in
Cyberpirates, but it deals mainly with that part of Florida that
belongs to the Caribbean League. Also, Target: Smuggler Havens
has a chapter about New Orleans.

I'm in Charlotte NC. I'd be happy to answer any questions or
give thoughts on the area, although I'm not sure I'm up for writing a
whole section or anything.

I'm in Durham, NC, and I'd be happy to contribute to a section, but as
for writing an entire section... I don't know.
