>>That's about as clear a `Yes' as I can expect, I suppose.
Luke, I think it's this line that set Rob off. I was taken aback by it as well,
for in Rob's original reply (which was far less malevolent in tone than his
second, longer one) he said that the mail does not come through him at all.
>>If so, I think it's no longer funny.
Insult to injury, guter Herr.
I will Add that one or two correspondents to this list (I believe you are
one of them) have usually had your personal address show up in
the From: heading, rather than the list address. I thought this was unusual
but not distressing; the nuances of mail escape me. As for the rest of us
growing perturbed at the lack of a subject heading: you would not have been
the first correspondent to not use the subject heading to its fullest
capacity.
That said, I believe the two of you should 1) cool down and 2)correspond
privately concerning this matter - and apologies are required, it seems,
between *both* parties. The only reason *this* is public is because of
the convenience of reply *and* the possibility that others may have noticed
the unusual nature of your From: heading (personal address rather than
list address).
