Just to add anouther kick to the super mage debate.
Did the GM roll for magic loss during surgery when all
that stuff was put in? Mine did ( or at least tretaned to and at
the time i considered the risk too great for getting a small
advantage.)
Also remember that being this powerful does lead to the
" Gunslinger" effect, .
When all thouse yong kids turn up to try themselfs the choice
you have is kill them . or they will be forever known as the man
who killed " insert carictors name".

And just because yuor fast doesnt mean you can escape
snipers as ive yet to see spells that can pick up hostile intent
from 2-3 Miles and while ancoed spells will stop the . 50 cal
stuff if they want yopu dead theyl use Some thing bigger or
something like Gas, or Doom, or somthing worse.

Just my ideas.

In reply to the question of magic loss from surgery, yes that was taken
into account. To add to the debate about hunting down super magical
people, ask yourself this. Are you in a hurry to gun down say, Arthur
Garrett, Mullins Chadwick, Daniel Howling Coyote (provided he's alive), or
even Lowfyr for that matter? Even in SR, most people aren't that stupid
and those that are usually end up dead. I agree that a sniper could end
things rather quickly, but that is quickly becoming an old and tiresome
excuse for wanting to bump off old characters. If a GM belives in the
"Gunslinger" method, then the character just keeps running into a drek load
of idiots and that gets tiresome too. If the character develops nasty
enemies on the other hand, it becomes an entirely different story. Its
true that being fast doesn't mean you can escape some things, but in SR
speed is still life. The point that I was trying to make is that some-
things are easier said than done.
