Is this true that Mages lose essence based on any bioware they may get?! I
didn't notice this rule in SRII then again I could have missed it...

Currently, I have no intention of following this rule. The solution is to
make biotech prices a bit more realistic and to change Resources back to the
old way; i.e. mages get less money if they take the force points.

Chaz ... I agree with everything you said. I would like to add my two-cents
about cultured biotech, however. IMHO, if a replacement heart can be
"cloned" so that it does not reduce a mage's magic attribute, then cultured
bio-tech ought to do the same thing. I say alpha-biotech (x3 cost) has .75
essence cost and beta-biotech (x7 cost) has no essence cost.
