Ahhhh...nein, das geht nicht.
A few difficulties with this...
ShadowRun II, pg 153
Clairvoyance -- "A hypersense spell requiring a voluntary subject. The
magician can see distant scenes as if present, to the range of the new sense.
The magician must concentrate to use this new sense, and while using it, cannot
use physical vision."
That would indicate, from the very first, that you bid a fond farewell
to any peripheral vision you might have had. You say the magician does not
have to have his eyes open--partially correct: The magician may not use his
own vision, which probably means he CANNOT have his eyes open.
A Smartgun performs thusly: "Targeting information appears on the
user's retina or cybereye (or glasses' lenses, in the case of smartgoggles) as
a small dot or cross hairs that corresponds to the smartweapons's current line
of fire." (ShadowRun II, pg 249) No targeting cross hairs equates to no
modifiers for targeting, as I see it. The only possibility left would be a
magical gun camera...assuming one may pick the focus of the view of
clairvoyance (which would be the ruby, I presume), you have achieved a "gun's
eye view" of the world, nothing else.
In short, as someone else so eloquently put it:
An orichalcum tube, silver wire, and a ruby do not a Smartlink make.
