All,
I just signed up to the list serv, and I have enjoyed the postings.
I've got a wierd question for ya: I've got a group with a Wolf Shaman, with an embodied
Ally Spirit (wolf's body- wouldn't ya know). I'm planning on running Survival of the
Fittest; in case you're unfamilier with it, the last adventure (in the series-style
format) is an astral quest, rather like Harlequin's Back. I know my lovely Shaman will
want to bring her Ally along. And as she is kind to him, feeds him Karma at every
opportunity (she gives him about half her awarded Karma), teaches him spells, and
generally roleplays with him like her totemic friend, rather than a servant, I'm half a
mind to let her bring him. This is also the first Ally we've had... my players prefer Phys
Ads- they really hate mages for some unknown reason (ask me about the mage with the binos
and the fire ball from across the street :) )
Question is: Can Ally spirits actually go on astral quests? I've run SR for 5 years (give
or take) and haven't found anything in my plethora of books to state either way on this. I
couldn't find it in any of my main books (got all 3) or the magic books (also got three
[Grimoire 1 and 2 and MITS]). I won't be running that particular adventure for a little
while yet, as Iwant to work it into my campaign, and don't want my players to see the
module- (I take copius notes) so it will be awhile before I get to the part where this is
important. If anyone has experienced this situation before, please let me know what
happened, whether as the player of the GM, and if I've missed the rules entirely, just
tell me I'm stupid, and point me inthe right direction. Help??!! Please??!!
Thanks,
DelMinar
