a mage is going to spend loads of dough on foci. (and if you don't have
the gr
there was a misprint in the original rules).
Why would you want to concentrate in a specific spell? Suppose you start
with 5 in Sorcery; specialize in spellcasting, so you've got 4 Sorcery/5
Spellcasting; Concentrating in, say, Magic Fingers would give you
3 Sorcery/5 Spellcasting/7 Magic Fingers (oops; the specialize example is
4 Sorcery/6 Spellcasting). Unless the only spell you cast is Magic Fingers,
this isn't very useful. You're going to be using Karma to move Spellcasting
up, not Magic Fingers (unless, as I say, the only spell you want to cast
is Magic Fingers).
Heal and Treat: Treat must be applied in one hour; Heal can be applied at
any time (although I'm not sure what the point is with Heal Deadly. This isn't
a resurrection spell, is it?)
