OK, I have to comment here. I'm a male, currently playing Moon Druid Physad.
(She's Human, and her Charisma is 5, but that's irelevant.)
I have to admit that I almost did make her a Lesbian, but that was because another
player in the group was really beginning to annoy me with some of the comments he was
making. Then I realized that I decided to Role Play a Female because I wanted a
challenge, and should be able to handle the comments in character.
As for picking up men, well, in our current game, I'm going to have to "seduce"
a man in
order for one of our plans to work. And I offered to do it.
Now, my character's not going to sleep with him. That would be taking things a little
too far. And the plan doesn't call for it. Nor would my character sleep with anyone just
to get something.
But my point is that SOME men don't have any problems roleplaying picking up a guy.
[Of course, I have some unique experience here. I used to DM a group that had gay lovers
as players. The first guy insisted on playing a gay character, which I was not thrilled
about, but let slide. When his lover joined a few months later, I refused to allow them
to play lovers.
(That's nothing to do with their being gay. IMHO, lover's within a group make life way
too difficult for the GM.)
And, since they couldn't play lovers, I wouldn't let him play another Gay male either.
(2 Gay males characters in a group of 6 PC's seemed a unlikely to me)
So, he decided to play a bisexual Female. (I think he was trying to get back at me.)
Compared to having to play NPC love interests for those 2, playing a straight female
seems like a walk in the park. :-)]
