I'm thumbing through a copy of Star System (A distributor order list) and I
see a one line blurb about an SR product called

"Shadowrun: Malicious Intent"

Now I found this rather odd, since everything else on the list is older FASA
products, like Germany Sourcebook, etc.
Is this a book I <gasp!> missed somehow? Or is this something new that I'm
not aware of?

Anyone have any info on a Malicious Intent book?

I've seen a few referrences to this title as well, but have not found
anyone locally that has it or knows anything about it

What you saw was a typo. _Malicious Intent_ is a *BattleTech* novel (written
by Michael Stackpole), published about a year or so ago. (For those of you
familiar with BattleTech, _Malicious Intent_ covers the Battle of Coventry in
3058, between Clan Jade Falcon and the Lyran Alliance).
