In the secrets of power triology, second book IIRc, is a manastorn
mentioned, haven`t read it in a long time, no clue if it had a actual
description.

In My Group(And this is in MY world.Take it or leave it) A mana Storm is
an astral rip in Space caused by magical powers so strong that only a
few creatures would be able to create one. Also an Astraly Projecting
mage would, if he got to close, be sucked in along the lines of a G1
tornado.any quickened spells are instanly vaporized, and a mage who
tries to cast a spell while inside one(on the physical plane) would take
such an enflux of power that the drain would kill him before he even
finished the spell.
Thats my take on a Manastorm, hopes it helps somebody. If you dont like
it, dont use it.
