Alright. I got a simple question I would like clarified.

I was looking at the Grimey thing the other day, and I noticed that it
said in the spell making section that all manipulation spells were
target number 4. Does this include Damaging Manip spells? I noticed
only one spell specifically saying its target number was 4. I think it
was Flame Bomb, or Flame something.

It would make all that extra drain worth while :)

Yep, they got it wrong in the Grimoire. Take a look in SRII there all
the damaging manipulations have a TN of 4. It sure gives things a diferent
perspective dont it :)

Thats wrong actually :), barriers and fine manipulations are 6's, but
spells worthy of that usually are 1 success it works type things.

The spell design charts, main rulebook and lists are right i think.
The Grimoire spell descriptions though are very dodgy, they should
all be target 4, resisted by body. Just try the spark spell in the
main book.
Hardcover, sustained, drain does not include that modifier or the
elemental effects one!
Softcover, they got instant duation, but drain is still one level too
low.
You CANNOT have, damaging manipulations without the elemental
effects, it says so in the grimoire, oh how i wish i could have force
mega, 4's to stage up L damage spells for L drain!,(those days i'm
looking for a real magical answer to a yamaha pulsar) but it is quite
rightly illegal! as it is a game bust.

Yes, though they won't hurt some things they make a real nice mess of
spirits, (oops no armour :) ), and make initates think twice (oh so
shielding no more help than spell defence as your attribute rating
does not bother me!)
[yes there is an exception on the spirits one, i found that one out
the hard way a long time ago, but ]
