Hi RN'ers

My buddy got this e-mail from Amazon.com
in relation to his pre-order of Man & Machine.

>Hello from Amazon.com!
>
>We have contacted the supplier by phone and are sorry
>to report that the release of the following title has been
>cancelled:
>
> "Man & Machine : Cyberware"

If anyone has the faintest clue about this issue
please shed some light. Personally I don't think
that Amazon.com has got it right but just in case
they have what are the ramifications...

News to me... and I had an email from Mike M two days ago on the subject,
and he certainly didn't mention that M&M was being cancelled. :-)

Methinks Amazon cocked up.

I think Amazon has gotten its wires crossed. They still have Cannon
Companion up for recent release. And M&M is listed as coming out in May.
The system looks fragged.

I will be checking on this once I'm up there, and we'll give an update as we
can.

Standard business practice. If you are missing the release date (not
just the simple running late) orders are canceled and it is resolicited
again when a new release date is set.

more so and they were guarded very closely. To protect themselves, they

it could be used against them.

Not only are they idiots but no one - I repeat NO ONE - at FASA has been
contacted by Amazon.com. The book is scheduled to release in late September
or early October...depending on production. We are 3/4 maybe more finished
with it. The cover is in, the black and white full pagers are floating in. I
can't stress enough how wrong that is.

I know a guy who works at Amazon, and he says they did get in touch with
FASA. Mike says they didn't. I think it's just a cluster-frag by
incompetent paper-pushers. M&M is still on the way, and Amazon was wrong.

HEY, I just remembered this. When I was talking to Mike M. once up at
Gencon, he made a crack about not only did Amazon NOT know what it was
talking about, NO ONE at FASA had even talked with them. So, in short...they
LIED!!!
