I was just wondering, is there any kind of call or demand for shadowrun
maps, drawn more accurately and completely with AutoCAD? and if so,
would that demand change if i charged for them?

I'd really like to see detailed and accurate maps of typical "shadowrun"
target buildings like offices, residential apartments, and so on. Maps
inclusive enough to cover things like air conditioning ducts, maintenance
crawl spaces, and so on.

I'd be willing to pay about the going SR book rate for a book of such maps,
too.

in all honesty I've got a real high demand for ANY form of electronic
map of the sea-tac area as well as an accurate map of all of the
surrounding areas...(perhaps a map of north america divided up into the
new nations and with the major cities and such of each of the nations
annotated on it)

I think it would be kinda neat to see maps made from autocad...as for
the charge, if you redid all the maps in sprawl sites and charged the
same price, I guess that would be about right...

I'd want to see some samples first, though.

I believe he was implying that he'd pay the going rate for the average
shadowrun book for a book of the maps i.e. $15-$30 depending on the
size, quality, and quantity of maps in the book. I could also be
persuaded to do the same but as someone already said I'd kinda want to
see a finished product of what I'd be getting so I'd know that I wasn't
going to be coughing up $$ for a book that I'd never use or something
that really wouldn't do me a lot of good for the games that I'm running.

Aren't maps of the airport today available somewhere? Even a map of how to
get to the gates might be useful.

BTW, if you're desperate for _any_ airport map to use as if it were
Sea-Tac, try to find a copy of the GM's Companion for Millennium's End,
which has one of the airport in Miami. (Plus loads of others suitable for
SR, like offices, stores, houses, etc.)

Maps like that are already available: in the back of the Neo-A Guide to
North America, and in the SRII main rules. Both have fold-out maps showing
all of North America, and in the NAGNA's case also of the cities described
in the book.

Keep in mind, that detailed maps of airports will be more difficult to
get today than in the past. Maps of the public areas can be found, but
the secure area maps may have been pulled.

I can't remember who posted this originally, sorry. It's the clickable
aerial survey map of the US. If you click on the Pacific Northwest and
continue to zoom in you can get right down to specific streets. I was able
to identify a specific address from the overhead view. It may not be exactly
what you're looking for, but it's pretty good, and it's free.

That's what I meant: maps of public areas would probably be available for
large buildings that have lots of people who've never been there wandering
around. You can always improvise the layout of the secure areas when you
need it.

Wordman has some pretty detailed maps at The Sixth World
(http://www.divnull.com/lward/sixthworld/), both in Shockwawe and PDF, with most
(if not all) countries in the world (SR that is).

If you use the PDF maps you will even have the capital in each country, and
several cities in many.
