Although I'm not familiar with the martial art I do recognise your point,
however to maintain game balance I felt that specifying only two types of
weapon was best, otherwise escrima would become a cheap way (Karma wise)
to gain an effective Armed Combat skill.

Oh and by the way, the 'baton' term was used to refer to any sort of stick
with up to 1 point of reach, so baseball bats would be included, and I
guess if teh GM allowed swords (with maybe a plus 1 TN).
