Interesting idea. Is it a FASA explanation? It raises interesting
questions, for me.

How do you `raise your aura' to a metaplane, without leaving your body?

How do you raise someone else's aura?

Since higher or equal grade Initiates can penetrate your mask, this
means they can `see' these metaplanes. This implies you can `see'
into metaplanes. I'm surprised - I thought you had to pass the Watcher,
etc. to get there.

If your aura is poking into a metaplane, this presumably makes you
at least visible to the denizens there, and possibly vulnerable.
I mean, if you can have a spell grounded through you when you're
astrally perceiving, ... <shudder>

So, why don't we read of Initiates being torn apart by invisible
creatures in the middle of the street?

If it is, then it isn't in the Grimything.

I didn't know it was possible for initiates to mask others, I always thought
the power was only usable on the magician himself.

I always thought that Masking was available to Initiates because of their
superior knowledge and ability, not that it actually moved their aura.

Of course you can. Anyone in the astral can attack people you percieve.
I dont see how this can come as a shock to you?

Because I'm thinking of the Metaplanes, not the safe and familiar
Astral plane.

Safe and familiar in comparison, you see.
