I thought the rules said the max you can take is a deadly wound. It
doesn't matter in a burst how many shots there are.

Per SR2, "the power rating of the weopon increases by 1 point for every
found fired in that full-auto burst (which is the only mode of fire for a
vanquisher minigun, and I assume others would be that similar). The
damage level of the wapon also increases by one level for every three
rounds in the full-auto burst, raising a M damage level to s, andthen to D
if enough rounds are fired. A damage level of D is the maximum
obtainable." (p92-93)

So, your 6 shot burst should have gone from 7S (again, vanquisher minigun
base) staged up to 13D and that is it.

Another note, I didn't see in cybertechnology that a minigun is a
cyberlimb option (p36). The SSC didn't list it either as a gun option (p86).

I think you just got screwed all the way around! But it happens to all
of us! :)

[snip] Qoutes of rules that the GM ignored.

The GM Munchkin: It's not enough for this munchkin to be a "creative"
player, his munchkin needs have to be met when he GMs. And absolute
power corrupts absolutely. The muchkin personality that is displayed
while playing will be greatly magnified when the Munchkin GM is running
his game. Munchkin players become munchkin gods. Gross manipulation of
the rules and random chance will occur.

Before we lynch the GM, maybe there are a few things we don't know about the
game. How many munchkins are there in the group? Has the GM EVER been able
to kill a player character? Does it seem that every evil plan he has is
thwarted by you guys? Is the party capable of easily raising someone from
the "dead"? Whose idea was it that a vampire's cyberware turns to mist with
them (I'm assuming the vampire character has cyberware)? I'm not saying that
this sounds like a great GM, but there are times when you try to do
something and it doesn't work, so you overkill the next time. Everything
needs to be taken in context.

I knew I should have put a disclaimer. The GM Munchkin was just a
continuation of my munchkin descriptions. It wasn't fully directed at
the guy's GM. The posting just sparked my creativity. And I will admit
that I've done something similar in my earlier gaming days.
