This comment is a pet peeve of mine, so I've got to say it's nonsense even though
6 other people already have. Its nonsense.
Back to meat drones. FASA hasn't answered the question yet (FASAMike?) but
in my opinion, it should be quite possible in 2050+. What you remove is the
prefrontal cortex. This leaves lots of room in a human. It also removes (gross
simplification) the personality, so consider it cold blooded murder. Don't expect to
use standard vehicle remote gear, of course.
What you end up with is a "drone" with an "autopilot" capable of
(depending on
how well the surgury went) sitting around, watching TV, feeding itself, possibly
even having conversations with people.
I don't think they would make fantastic killers (I think wired-reflexes wouldn't
transmit well over the remote gear, and skills requireing concentration or planning
would be piss-poor), but they could fit in anywhere (assuming you didn't leave
huge scars on their foreheads...)
