I think I may be a forgotten elder. No no, I don't want your acceptance, or
your derision. I remember when the internet was gopher and ftp. (At the
time, the only thing I had really figured out was telnetting, muds, and
relay). I kinda had mailing lists figured out, but I think I may have
stumbled across either this list, or something like it. I think recently I
threw away a dot matrix printout on that cheapo green-striped paper that I
abused in college (I'll have to go look). It was someone's calculations of
the odds of various staging levels and target numbers, etc.

Unfortunately, the traffic was a bit high then, even for me. So, I may never
know. I just wish I could figure out an easy way to search through all the
archives to see if I ever posted anything. <Hint, Hint>

Sorry for the rambling. It's partly from reminiscing about my early days on
the internet, before the web.
