Okay, I've got a silly question (did you expect anything less??)...:)

We've got Earth Spirits, City Spirits, Hearth Spirits...

What about Christmas Spirit? After all, they talk about it all the time
during the holiday season...:)

And of course, the Toxic version... The X-mas Spirit.

I'd make it a hearth spirit, capable of being summoned only on the
holiday.
It woould have very strong powers of protection (Guard, etc. and could
show up according to the summoner's faith/ideology - ie. Santa Claus, or
an Angel, etc.

> And of course, the Toxic version... The X-mas Spirit.

Likewise, I'd make this one a hearth spirit variant. It can only be
summoned in a mall during the interem of teh day after Thanksgiving, and
the Day before Christmas.
And only then in areas where the real meaning of Christmas had been
corrupted, and overshadowed by commercialism.
It could appear as an angry salesman, or for the more traditional, how
about the Rat King from "The Nutcracker Suite?" :-)

I kind of like the idea of strong emotions associated with a holiday
affecting a spirit's appearance.
Just as the weather determines if a sky spirit will have the electrical
projection power, so too could the season determine the spirit's powers.

Good Idea Steve-a-rino!!

Steven A. Tinner
Can't believe he's gonna use one of these against Johnny 99 :-)

Yup. But unlike other sprits, the domain of the christmas is temporal. Rumor
has it that the domain has been expanding. I'm sure that by 2057 it extends
to July :) Terry

They still have a Real Video version of the episode of "Spirit of
Christmas" on their site. Much easier to deal with than the 50 meg
version, but the quality is not as good. This is different from this
year's Xmas episode, for those who haven't seen either one.

But to make this a bit more On Topic (like that is possible :] ), do you
think Mr. Hankey was a Toxic Spirit? Or maybe something else, much much
sicker. (And yes, Bull, the episode was really disgusting, but so amusing
it had to be seen twice.)

!!! Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo can't be a loathsome toxic spirit!

I'd figure it is a hearth spirit (or more specificly, toilet/sewerage
spirit which crosses over into the city domain as well) that became free
and grew in power. It blatently used manifestation and effected the
environment with it's (ahem) elemental effects of poo, as well as having
the special power of Happy.

Happy would be used as a reverse of Fear. (though it appears to be an
area affect for Mr. Hankey) Roll Mr. Hankey's essence (fairly powerful,
not sure of a # though) against the victim's willpower.
1 success: victim stops, somewhat confused
2: victim stops, relativly happy
4: victim's attention is completey drawn to Happy creature and becomes
happily submissive.
6+: victim happily obeys the Happy creature no matter what
modify the effects depending on the situation at hand.

Mr. Hankey has probably joined the rest of the benevolently conspiring
Christmas spirits as they have similar goals.

I'll leave figuring out the elemental effects of poo to somebody else
though...

eep,
-me.
