'Course, if you really want to play with a decker, you could have someone
break into his deck while he's out and do all sorts of mean things... like
copy his utilities for free, or implant a virus that "tags" all of his
utilities. If the decker wants to defend against such thing, he's got to
put IC in his deck, which will cost time and money.

now, this seems really funny to me :-)
That particular player isn't inb teh game anymore anyway (we had a
disagreement on exactly what the path of the game was to be and his PC's
place in it...)
But, along with the Blue Screen Of Death, this gives me a good idea for
the other team decker :-)
(and, yet another reason to play an otaku)

Don't credit me with it. After our D&D game Friday Morning (as in "We
started on Thursday..."), a friend of mine commented about how a guy on 3rd
floor leaves his computer wide open with all sorts of stuff in it. Talking
about screwing with a decker just made me question "Well, how many deckers
think to put even a chip with Barrier IC on it in their decks?"

Gods, I love screwing with people.
