I'm thinking of doing a Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood/Miami/general
South Florida supplement for SRII. Questions:

1. Any tips/guidelines/etc for creating supplements?

2. Any info previously on Florida?

3. What exactly was the cause for the seperation of North & South
(UCAS, CAS)?

4. Anybody want to work with me on this?

Thanx in advance

My suggestion, dreadful as it may seem, is to _not_ just limit it to
South Florida. Include maybe Cuba (which I think is part of the Carib
League), and other neighboring CAS states. Yes, it would be a lot of
work (which sucks), but it will make for a much better product.

Second suggestion is to ask FASA for perhaps some basic info on Cuba, or
if they have anything they have planned for Florida or Georgia, or whatever

I'm not the one to ask.

Yes. Just that S. Florida is now part of the Carribean League, which is
basically an amalgamation of all those little islands (plus some big
ones). I really don't know of any sourcebooks that go into detail on the
League. My personal view would be to model it on the European Union, a
closely cooperating union but with lots of powers for member states. I
honestly don't think that the League could have taken over S. Florida,
but that's just my opinion.

I forget, but it may have had something to do with some new President's
tax policy. It's explained in the Neo-Anarchist's Guide to North America,
an older supplement which details the Eurocentric nations of N. America,
and highlights several cities. I reccomend it, although I don't see how
the population of D/FW could be 18 million.

Look at the FASA books and make it look like that.

The southern tip of Florida, including Miami, is part of the Caribean
League. I don't think FASA says this anywhere, but look at the map in the
Matrix chapter to see what I mean.

Can I do this by E-mail? Where and to whom within FASA should it be
directed?

I would suggest "fishing" for info at the e-mail addresses that have been
mentioned recently. It may take them forever to answer back, but they
might have someting interesting to say.

And of course, if they tell you to "frag off and die", then do whatever
the hell you wnat to!

Ah, but what about S. Florida taking over the League? If not in name, then
in spirit. Join it and throw so much into it in the way of manpower,
matierials, tech, etc. that they are the only ones that can control it all.
I would be inclined to see it as a bunch of loosely controlled islands,
under one central gov't, but that beaurocracy (sp?) being very corrupt and
prone to infighting.

Also, seeing as that I currently reside in St. Petersburg (Tampa Bay area),
I would be willing to help out with the material if you wish...

Someone said that FASAMike@***.com is the guy who answers Shadowrun
questions now that the (previous) DLoH is gone off to another department.
But in all honesty, I doubt FASA'd give away what they've got in store for
the future.
