Anybody given any thought to an SR team based on the Power Rangers?
There's enough nasty cyberwear out there that a corp could create a team of
powerful, yet flashy PR/security force Rangers.

Imagine the look on the PC's faces when the try to sneak into the Renraku
Arcology for a simple datasteal, using a child's birthday party as cover -
only to discover that the Pinl Ranger is actually a totally buff secguard
(and cute too! :-))

You can mix and match the cyberwear to correctly reflect the different
powers, etc.
Any ideas?
I don't watch the show that often, and have no idea what powers these dudes
have anyway . . .

Besides, I'd rather fight a team of SR Power Rangers than an SR Gatchaman
team!

Actually, my team and I tried this. We were all combinations if phys ads and
riggers. It was pretty fun because we stayed in character the entire
time...we spent more time laughing than running. Needless to say, our GM
forbade us to play the Power Rangers ever again.

No! I watched 5 minutes of that show a few days ago, and the only thing it
was good for was making me laugh at how ridiculous the whole thing is...

A poser gang whose members think they're Power Rangers, though...

The Power Rangers themselves are utter utter utter (stop me when I've said
enough utters) utter <STOP> shite....

However, there is a certain episode of Reboot, called Nulzilla, which is
really funny..... It takes the P**s out of Thunderbirds and the
powerrangers, and it WORKS!

If you ever get the chance to see it (if you haven't already), SEE IT!

Hey now, I have to defend the Rangers here.
Yes, in English they suck incredibly bad!
But the original Japanese version is OK for what it is - a lighthearted
children's tale.

BTW, anybody else know that in the original Japanese series, the yellow
ranger was a GUY?!
He got a suden sex change on the flight to the USA to make the team more
gender balanced.
That's why only the pink ranger wears the miniskirt on her costume. :-)

Errrr.....
Hmmmm.....
Doesn't the lack of boobs in that tight costume give it away somewhat???
Or do they do a bit of video trickery to paint them on?

the female American Yellow ranger was somewhat... Flat chested... (He
says, trying to maintain decorum under the scrutiny of several females on
the list whiole kick his ass)

Also, you have to remember that the footage for each was spliced
together... Most of the Action Scenes, especially the stuff with the Giant
Robots was the older show (actually, i believe they used several different
Power rangers shows), while the personal lives stuff, and some of the toned
down combat was newer footage with the merican COunterparts...

(I hope Mr. Huang's little automated 'courtesy' reply thing doesn't do

Huh? Why did YOU post this to the Shadowrn list? And what's THIS?...We
aren't INTERESTING now!?! oooooh! Just for that, Bull, I think you
should send Michael to YALE for his education!

Isn't it some sort of net faux pas to accidently post a message to a list
that talks about about said-list behind it's collective back? (never mind
the fact that it might be true..)

This is a friend of mine and I sent him mail explaining the situation. It
only happened for one mail. It's incredible how in one day, two of my friends
make stupid mistakes on this list. :)

Don't send the ork here, the damn email system screws up sometimes and well,
sorry!

Oh, and while I'm writing this, at least I didn't intend to complain to the
list about subject content. Some people can't seem to stop yelling about
non-SR related material, thereby doubling said material -- STOP IT (ironic
that I'm doing the same thing while writing this)
