Subject: Minotaurs?

Hello all,

I am fairly new to this list and to SR in general. I have heard that
minotaurs exist in 2054 , but I am unable to locate any sort of stats on them.
Have I been mislead or am I just having bad luck in my search?

As characters, they don't officially exist.

Unofficially, they will be released as a character class in NERPS:
ShadowLore, which will be published in Mid-April.

On minotaurs: Sorry to disappoint you, but the minotaur is a
Mediterranean expression of the Troll form.
There's also a wild minotaur, a non-sentient sort of Awakened bull
thing. A real vicious fragger.

You locate the stats for a minotuar character in the paranormal animals of
europe on page 122, Appendix 2. You will also notice that there is also an
ogre race too.

I haven't heard anything myself about it... that doesn't mean that they aren't
around, just that I haven't seen them. It might be in one of the Paranormal
Animals books, since I don't have those, but I have come across no mention of
them in ANY SR product that I have read.

Does anybody else have any better intelligence on this?

Minotaurs are in the Paranormal Animals of Europe. And yes, they ARE
a player character race, they're described in the back, not as a separate race
beyond that.

You should probably get the thing anyway, it's really a nice book (and
it gives you a lot of hints about Earthdawn...)

ShadowRun is not Earthdawn.

Somehow, I felt a overwhelming need to respond to this one. :)
But since I see several responses in my elm file already,
I will merely *smirk* and say "Yes Daniel, there are a few
Minotaurs running around in shadowrun. Some are friendlier
than others." :)

Yes, but they ARE related. And it never hurts to have hints on what's
going to be happening in the new Harlequin adventure, too...

Just a few references are there, for a little background. Pretty good
book (probably not as good as the North America guide, but still worthwhile...)

No... but that doesn't mean the two aren't connected... I happen to like how
the two 'worlds' are linked together... if you don't, that's your choice, but
don't pull a "ED is not SR" attitude... they aren't intended to be, but they
ARE linked. Anybody who knows enough about the two systems can tell you that.

Oh well... just my 2 bits...

source book are they in, and what are their stats?

They are both in Paranormal Animals of Europe, and in Shadowrun
Compendium.

Go get a copy of the Neo Anarchist Guides to Everything Else. In one
of them, you'll find new races like hobbits, minotaurs, and so on.
That, or in the NERPS.
It's best you surf over to Gurth's Homepage, he's got all the links.

Minotaurs, Halflings, Ogres, etc, appear in NERPS:Foundations or
Shadowlore. All the NERPS publications to date and the NAGEE can be found
on Paolo's page at

Actually official stats exist for minotaurs and ogres and are in
Paranormal Animals of Europe and in the more recent Shadowrun
Companion...bear in mind that the SR Companion is all optional rules:)

They're in NERPS: ShadowLore, but if you want official stats you should
check out the SR Companion instead.

Or go directly to Paolo's page, that has all NERPS books in one place. My
page doesn't have any because I don't have the disk space :(
