Well,
Just wondering: can anyone hear come up with an imaginative,
plausible reason why adding the datjack link equipment to a vehicle
would cause the handling to go up by one? I've tried, and I've
failed. I'd think it should make handling EASIER, not harder, but the
book says "add", so.... :)
Also, here's a game "feel" question. What's the view on Riggers
taking air vehicles? Would it lead to the "separation" problem like
deckers? The reason I'm asking is that I'm making up a Rigger who has
a main van, but has enough money to get eanother vehicle. I'm considering
giving him a Skyshark LAV, but I don't know if it'd be worth it. He has a good
urban vehicle, maybe a good off-road one would be a better investment.
Something like a Landrover or something. What does everyone think?

Well from what I understood it is easier *there may be a fix
in the ERATTA*

Well half your money goes to rigger level 3 as far as cars...
Well my personal preference is a large van *seriously buffed up*
spending alot of money adding armor turbo, sensors, roll cage,
eccm, runflat, medium remote pop-up turret, etc...
then spending the rest on a drone rack and 4 or 5 drones with
camera's sensors, guns, *then a warehouse as living conditions
upstairs bedroom kitchen - downstairs garage with shop equipment.

as far as air vehicles anything that get's you off the ground is
awesome - but make it tough enough to withstand a firefight, or get
forged permits - good enough to get you through air traffic control.

Happy Riggin'

Thanks

Canada bison, or anything that has moderate body and lots of storage
space, base prices 50 - 200K types.

add some armour if needed. Ammount depends on GM rulings on subtlty
but about barrier 9 with the body slows most things down enough (if
that won't do you probably should not have attracted the attention)

that warehouse is a real good idea.
also remember some cheap drones. Unmodified skimmer or balloons
for those have a look what is round the corner jobs, oh so it was 20
guards in military armour oops, oh well 2K for the new drone 'don't
go that way folks!!!' (also useful for exact C12 delivery he he)

only hitch is cost, a chopper worth the name is far too expensive,
however some of the drones are ok, try rotor drone and mount Ranger
arms sm3, ''god' in the sky, sniper time' .

I have no direct explination, i is the same with the auto pilot. The
only solution (a tenative one at that) that I can come up with is
that the data jack gives you partial access to the controls, hence
you have to use a mixture of your basic motor functions plus brain
(the brain is faster) hence you have split concentration, parts of
the vehical react faster than others with the result of jumpiness. (I
said it was tenative)

Yes to the seperation problem, and buy the plane. Our team eventually
decided to pool resources to buy our first one. After all the hastles
we had on our last few runs (and what the rigger we hired to jump the
boarder cost us) it makes good economic sence.

The Handling increase is for people who are _not_ using a datajack, IMHO.
The reason could be something like modification of the controls or something...

Well, my rigger is called "Remote" for a very good reason. She very rarely
takes here meat body out any closer to a job than she absolutely has to. It
works well for her. She has a rating 4 remote control deck and every one of
her vehicles is set up for remote rigging. This becomes a very effective
force amplifier. Indeed the other players tend to use her vehicles/skills
as more or less an Air Cavalry unit.

If you decide to use that sort of an idea, I've found that a mix of rotor
drones, crawlers, and a "heavy hitter" drone works well. If you like I can
knock up a bit of a list of her drones for you, and/or tell you about some
of her expolits. :-)
