Aren't there archives in ShadowRN for modules/adventure files, or anything
else? All I have been able to find is the logs of conversations like these.

Really. One of the major reasons I subscribed was to get new character ideas,
data sheets, and adventure ideas. If anyone has any they would like to send to
me my address is: snyder@***.edu
I would really appreciate it.

What you need to find is the NERPS Shadowlore and Foundations
stuff. I think that has more of what you're looking for. As the
*where* you might find it, I'm not exactly sure. Probably with the rest
of the NERPS stuff on the NERPS list.

Not that I know of. ShadowRN is for talking about the game, asking questions
about it, etc. The best you can find, I think, are pleas from people who
were designing an adventure and got stuck. Even that doesn't happen often,
though.
On Paolo's page are a number of adventures, though they're not all in English.

I found a fairly good page at
http://dax.cs.wisc.edu/~woodelf/RPG/shadowrun.html
which has links to several really interesting SR sites.
I'm not sure who the page belongs to, but they're on the same computer as
I am...

I'v got some honey, do you?

I'd be happy to trade anything you have. Just send it to me at
cukoo@*****.net. Do me a favor though, I want to use these as a bartering
piece to get more planning ideas, so please don't distribute them (not to
mention I'm not sure how many copyright laws I broke, but I imagine I've
covered just about all of them). I tried to edit the ideas to mean
something, but many of them are probably formatted so they only mean
something to me (they were only meant as notes) so if you need
clarification, just let me know.
I'm also putting a web site on-line soon and plan to upload all my (used,
nosey PCs on the Internet) planning on-line. I'll e-mail ShadowRN when the
site is up.

Mixed Ideas
AI- A self aware computer takes over the complex where it was created, it
may also be able to take over deckers with headware memory, s.p.u.'s
and other computer enhancements.
A Bidding War- A Johnson invites several teams to a meet and they must bid
or convince him to hire them.
Competition- Two teams are hired for the same job, with only the successful
team getting paid the final payment. This would put the runners
against their goal and the opposing tea
DocWagon/Crashcart- Hostile extraction of a DocWagon or Crashcart client.
Maybe the PCs opponent is a DocWagon/Crashcart client and they show
up to get him (to shoot their way in and back out with him). This
is a good life saver for a dead or dying PC too if they thought to
get a contract. In addition, if DW or CC shows up, the PCs could be
in an inciminating setting or under the restrictions of
extraterritoriality, complicating things (maybe they are obligated
to report criminal activities?)
Gameshows- Lethal Game Shows. In the style of the running man or
gladitorial combats. The sponsor may even display matrix combats or
spell worms fighting it out. For the latter, they may restrict the
spells that can be used to the ones that are physically visible
(pretty boring if you can't see what's going on).
Insult to Injury- A Decker gets a vendetta toward a PC and decides to take
revenge through the matrix. He could add to his police record, ruin
his credit, suspend or revoke his drivers license, phony evidence,
issue APBs and warrants for the PCs arrest, splatter postings in
boards like Magicnet and Shadowland, etc..
The Michelangelo Virus- Or something similar. Every year on March 6th
(Michelangelo's birthday) the virus springs to life and kills
everything it can find.
Mind-Probe/Interrogation- A comatose victim who is mind probed by a PC,
knows something he isn't supposed to, maybe the Yakuza or Mafia put
him in the hospital to begin with, and want to finish the job.
They would then need to target the PCs.
A PC is Brainwashed- In the style of Total Recall, a PC leads a shadowy life
and his benefactors erase or replace his memory of it. Perhaps the
PC knows something important but the benefactor doesn't want to kill
him (reuse him?), or perhaps the benefactor needs a spy in other
circles and plant suggestions that help complete their ends.
Possible benefactors would be crime syndicates or corps. The PC may
suffer from flashbacks caused by things that would bring back memories.
Poisoned- The PCs are poisoned and have to find an antidote. Perhaps
someone poisons them with the intention of making them do something
for him. Inspired by Escape from New York and D.O.A.
Poisoned or Diseased Water- Someone is poisoning the water supply of Seattle
and the government hires the runners to stop them. The water supply
could be underground, with a dungeon delve into the sewers
or underground Seattle.
Sub Orbital- The PCs are on a sub-orbital flight and something goes wrong,
maybe the plane collides with an uncharted satellite (military,
Corp?). The PCs have to correct a deteriorating orbit and sustain
life support. Maybe they only have to hold out long enough for a
rescue operation or maybe they have to land. Escape bubbles? They
would burn up if they hit the atmosphere at the wrong angle, or may
just land in the ocean. Maybe communications are down and the pilot
(s) are wounded or dead. When they land, they may get free flight
benefits. Trans Orbital Airways (airline?).
Super Syrem- Drugs that enhance performance, perhaps with side effects.
Thunderbird Runs- Independent Thunderbird pilots often run from Denver into
Aztlan and back, relying on the tension around the border to keep a
pursuit going too long and facing opposing countries forces.
Tir nan Og- A person traveling into the Tir is supposedly taken for
quarantine or trafficking illegal substances etc., and the runners
are hired to track them down. The whole thing is a coverup, of course.
Viruses- A war virus that drives people to violence and spreads rapidly?
Dzoo-Noo-Qua, Ghouls, Goblins, and lots of other paranormal critters
are infected by viruses. It could also be carried by flies,
mosquitoes, or rats. This one comes form Outbreak and The Stand.
Water Source- Most of Denver's water is provided by a single pipeline.
Eco-Terrorists could target the pipeline for destruction or poison,
or a corp. could target the pipeline for some kind of experiment.
The PCs could be involved in sabotaging the pipeline or could be
hired to stop it. Maybe a group (eco-terrorists or corp) are using
the pipleline as an example of power to put pressure on one or more
of the Denver governments

Corps
I tacked these guys in as instigators or targets. You will notice
that some of them are real, present day corps, I like to tie some present
day threads for the sake of familiarity (my players and I live in Seattle).

Applied Security Concepts Inc.- A grade a security company that uses
pressure plates, lasers and anything else they can.
Arianespace- A space corporation that subcontracts launch facilities to
those who can pay. Usually corps launching Sattelites.
Babbage- An undersea mining company.
BrightEdge (Morocco)- Mercenary Company.
Calivard Fiber Optics
Combat Inc. (Hong Kong)- Mercenary Company.
Cyberdyne (California Free State)- T2, computer and cyberware technologies.
Eagle Hardware- Converted into a real hardware store, deals with weapons,
ammo, accessories, and other hardware.
Eldricht Technologies- A corp. specializing in magical research.
Hughes Heavy Industry- Runs the mines of Carbonado and specializes in
escavation and mining operations.
Intel- Specializes in microprocessors.
MET 2000 (Germany)- Mercenary Company.
Microsoft (Bellevue, Washington, for non-natives, its a suburb of Seattle)-
A corp. that works with software.
Pensodyne- An independent research facility owned by Yamatesu through 3
shell companies.
Richter Enterprises- Escavation and mining corp.?
Russel Overland Hauling- A trucking company.
Seikoshia Implants- Haywire's parents corp. Specializes in Bio and
cyberware implants. See complete ideas and Haywire's casting.
10,000 Daggers (Constantinople)- Mercenary Company.
Tsunami (Japan/Far East)- Mercenary Company.
V.S.I.- Virtual Systems Incorporated, specialized in cyberdecks, software,
and biotech. These are the guys in Lawnmower Man.
Westingford- An undersea mining company.

Magical Plots

Animate Object Spells to Create Golems and Undead
Astral Armor
Crucifix A religious maniac cleansing the earth of sinners. Hangs around in
churches and wants to build Hell on Earth to punish sinners. Toxic
shaman, wants to start an inquisition. The scriptures are her
centering skill/gaesa. Purgatory as a waiting place while Crucifix
decides what to do with them. Holy water that burns and sizzles.
Perhaps Crucifix would re-write the book of revelation to include
herself as a messenger of god and instigator of Armageddon.
Inspired by a short-story by Clive Barker from "Inhuman Touch", this one
ought to have a nice, gothic feel. Quote the bible lots. I plan to
introduce her slowly as the PCs families become entwined in her cult
and start donating everything they have, it'l be gradual.
Druids- Perhaps the Shadow Circle theme from D&D could be modified to fit
into a Shadowrun setting. This ones from the Druid's Handbook for
AD$D (for those of you who have it).
Funeral Mask- An Egyptian funeral mask that possesses those who were it.
Could wind up being a difficult to destroy and detrimental magical
item. This one could easily lead to adventures in Egypt, with a
nice Indianna Jones-ey feel.
A Gang of Magician Thrillers
Jester- A free spirit who likes to run people and critters through dangerous
or lethal games and contests.
Immortality- And all of its off shoots. Perhaps someone has learned its
secrets or someone is trying. Could follow the Fountain of Youth idea.
Magical College- An institute for developing magical potential, perhaps a
cover for someone who wants to scout for magical talent.
Nightmare Machine- A device or item that opens a gate to a metaplane.
An Oracle- The Sphinx? Traveling to ask it questions.
Registered Magic's Act- A law that requires magicians to register with the
government.
Resurrection A mage who has discovered the secrets of resurrection or to
creating undead.
Revenge- A spirit who calls himself revenge. Maybe it feeds off peoples
desires for vengeance. This one was inspired by Pumpkin Head and
could easily come from a character the PCs have formerly defeated.
Totem Cleansing- Visions sent by a totem as warnings that he needs to
cleanse his spirit (and act more like his totem). Maybe the totem
demands a sort of pennance, some kind of test or task the PC must
perform to cleanse his spirit.
Tattoo Magic- Tattoos that come to life or act as foci for magic.
Undead- Liches, Skeletons, etc.. Maybe someone has finally learned the
secrets of creating/becoming undead. Perhaps the undead are just
spirits or allies that have inhabited or imitated the dead.
Perhaps the spirits are free spirits, giving them a free will.

Organized and Unorganized Crime

Gangs and Gang Wars
Jamaican Posses- Just moving into Seattle, concentrates almost entirely on
B.T.L. and drug distribution. This one was inspired by Predator II.
Mafia- Italian syndicate, less subtle than the Yakuza and more technology based.
Nazis- Could be connected to Humanis. Uses violence and has a militaristic
outlook.
Seloupa- Korean syndicate, small time.
Tong- Chinese syndicate, once great but now beaten down by the Mafia and Yakuza.
Yakuza- An ancient Japanese syndicate specializing in drugs, prostitution
and extortion. The Golden Fist and The Hand. Family based and uses
subtle means.

People and Critters

The Bounty Hunter- Someone hires a hunter to kill the runners, perhaps he
enjoys prolonging the hunt.
Cowboy- A Texan who owns oil fields hires the runners for something, maybe
they need to rob a train or something. Should incorporate all the
ideals of the west, a Catty with steer horns on the hood, horseback
riding, a hatred for Indians, cattle, etc..
Doppleganger- A creature that imitates other individuals. This could have
lots of snags, maybe the creature moves in on the PCs by taking the
form of one of their contacts. I once knew a DM that made his
player role-play the doppelganger, none of the other PCs had an idea
who was the real one (so much for the PC stamp on his forehead).
Giant Critters- A hormone based drug (read steroids) or virus is developed
in a lab and spilled into the sewers, causing normal critters to
grow to giant sizes. A virus could be contagious, a drug could
mutate critters and their offspring would have the same traits.
Government- Internal affairs, FBI, N.S.A., C.I.A., the Secret Service,
N.A.S.A., Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Metroplex Guard (Coast
Guard). These guys can cause a whole butt load of trouble for PCs
who haven't developed a knack for keeping their operations quiet.
A Hit-Man Who is Really an Undercover Cop- Is that really a backup sammie or
decker the PCs were trying to hire on, or a Shadowrider.
Humanis- Alamos 20,000, The Sword, etc.,
Hydrated Being- The Bog Wader, DNA similar to Brine Shrimp and Trolls.
The IRA- The Provisional Wing of the Irish Republican Army. They have a
long standing hatred for the English and often act as terrorists.
The tend to favor bombings. This could come into adventures in
Europe easily.
The League- An informal organization of Mercenaries.
Nova Gaia- Eco-Terrorists based in Denver and led by a Free Storm Spirit.
See White Wolf #45, Pg. #14.
Shadowriders- Lone Stars SINless cops.
Terrorists- Die Hard, weren't those guys great

New Tech

AI- This has all kinds of possibilities.
B.R.I.C.- Drone. B.ipedal R.obotic I.ntrusion C.ountermeasure. ED209 from
Robocop.
Clipping Senses From Different Simsense Recordings and melding them
together. Inspired by Brainstorm.
Cloning Technology- Replicating DNA, could be used to bring back extinct
animals (Jurrasic Park). Maybe a corp. creates clones of the PCs to
use against them or for their own ends. This would do a lot of bad
things to the runners reps.
Control- The combination of modified skillwires and a data lock could be
used to force a person to run a program from the skillwires without
remembering it. Bioware could also be used in combination with
brainwashing (modified reflex recorders?).
Cryo-Suspension
Exo Skeleton- A suit of power armor that sits around the wearer. See also,
military grade armor (Fields of Fire Sourcebook).
Gene Splicing Animal Traits Into Humans and Metahumans- Richard Greco in Tomcat.
Matrix Biologicals- Biologicals that are trained to act in the matrix as
guards and implanted with datajacks.
Monofilament Bolas
New Anarchist Tech
Proxies and Proxy Jockeys- V.R. controlled robots that replicate human form.
They can be hidden under clothing and are favorites of the Yakuza,
who style them after Ninja. These guys are basically humanoid drones.
Simsense- A recorded simsense of murders as they are committed. Obviously a
bootleg, Lone Star would be very interested in apprehending the
recorder.
A Virus or AI- Perhaps an evolved form of the AI from Playing Dead.
Sid (from Virtuosity), hungers for data. He is released into a
system either as a raid or as a test and finds the designers back
door. He escapes into the matrix. Could be an expert program, AI,
or expert virus. Maybe he was programmed with serial killers
personalities to make him brutal when facing opposing deckers.
Writing Information Directly Onto the Cerebral Cortex, Fake Memories,
Skills, Etc..

Movie, Video Game and Book Themes
Movies

Alien, Aliens, or Alien 3- Perhaps an insect hive or new creature that takes
over a remote colony in the arctic or in the jungle. The Aliens are
hunted by another species or being that is making them extinct.
They can sense the approach of the hunter, and that is why they rush
to procreate. In addition, the Alien 3 idea could easily be
incorporated into the isolation theme from the Thing (later in this
file) idea later in the movies ideas. The Penal Colony idea could
also be used, like original Australia. Look into the comics, where the
Aliens are hunted by another species, the government wants to use them as
biological weapons, or maybe even created them. They might be some kind of
spirit like the Enemy from Harlequin's Back.
Alive- Stranded in the arctic.
Big Trouble in Little China- The three Storms, the Fighting Tong,
Bladerunner- This ones chalk full of ideas, is it just me or did FASA
ruthlessly steal the idea of the Aztech Pyramid from that corporate
building in Bladerunner?
Brainstorm- Simsense.
The Crow- A creature, person, or undead that has an animal or vessel
connecting it to the world of the dead. Perhaps the creature is
back for revenge.
Cyborg II- Artificial humans, Glass Shadow (liquid explosives), the Post
Holocaust setting, and Mercy as a Decker.
Demolition Man- Criminals put into cryogenic suspension.
Die Hard I/II/III- The PCs are trapped in the top of a skyscraper with a
well fortified force on the lower floors preventing escape. In 2,
they might have to find the source of the jamming from the airport.
In 3, it could be linked to the Jester theme, with a villain putting
tasks before them or something bad happens (blackmail, destruction,
death of contacts or family).
Escape from New York- Poisoned or implanted characters are forced into doing
something for unscrupulous employers. Perhaps an entire city
government collapses and the city is taken by anarchy. A city
declared under martial law. Suggested cities include, New York, Los
Angeles, and Chicago. Also see the Burning Bright ideas and
the Bug City Sourcebook
Flatliners- Death and an astral quest? What if someone recording simsenses
of dying and being revived. The bootlegs could kill the infirm.
Lone Star would be very interested.
Fletch- Perhaps the runners are hired to steal something, but when they find
it, it is gone. It would be a frame to put the runners there and
cover the person who really stole it. Maybe someone hires the
runners to kill him but is really planning to kill the PC and run,
making it look like he died.
Ghost Busters I & II- Vigo, extra-dimensional travel (read- metaplanes).
Hard Target- A very small, underground organization that hires out manhunts.
The PCs might be the targets, or could have to pose as clients, or
maybe they have to hunt them down in some secluded or difficult terrain.
Hellraiser- The puzzle? Another plane? Maybe a Metaplane?
Judge Dread- Maybe vigilantes or a variation of Shadowriders who go through
the full process of law enforcement. Could easily be adapted into
the Chicago Containment Zone where it is lawless, the Penal Colony
idea from sites and locations, or the Alien 3 idea from movies.
Jurassic Park- Bringing extinct species back from the dead using cloning
technology.
Mask- A magically active mask that grants the user abilities. Maybe the
mask itself is inhabited by a free spirit with a nasty personality.
The Naked Lunch- A PC hallucinates and no longer interacts with the real
world. Perhaps connected to the brainwashing theme.
Needful Things- A free spirit with a nasty attitude begins to turn people
against each other, the PCs are hired to investigate. Maybe they
have to go to a small town. Maybe the PCs encounter Lucifer himself
(here's a religious spook for ya). The events should be portrayed
as unrelated events until the end when the PCs connect Lucifer to
all of them. Of course, maybe the bad guy is a magician who just
thinks he's Lucifer (he'd need to be a real powerful magician huh?)
Nemesis- Artificial humans that look real. They could be run by an expert
frame that could be stored on chips and transported without the
body. Could be connected to the mainframe in Play Dead.
Night Breed- A race of humanoid creatures that hide from mankind.
Pumkinhead- A spirit that takes a sacrifice of essence and is bound to take
revenge.
Raising Kain- Would a mind probe reveal information that a dual personality
only knows in his subconscious?
Robocop/Robocop II- Body and mind replacement, ED209 (B.R.I.C.).
Sneakers- A super sleaze program.
Terminator/T2- Cyborgs that look human (T-100), the liquid metal Terminator
(T-1000).
Thing- The isolation theme, perhaps one of those who is isolated is a Nomad
(critter) and the PCs have to figure out who.
Total Recall- Erased memories of another personality. See "A PC is
Brainwashed" in general ideas.
Virtuosity- Sid 6.7, a compilation of serial killers personalities. Could
be brought to life through the use of datajacks, headware memory,
and/or skillwires. He could also exist purely in the matrix,
perhaps as artificially intelligent Black IC, maybe even some kind
of derivative from the AI in Playing Dead. Could be that he was
programmed with the personalities of serial killers to make him
ruthless when dealing with intruding deckers.

Video Games

Alone in the Dark- A runner inherits a haunted mansion.
Descent- The PCs are loaded into cyber or trode rigged exo-suites or craft
and sent into mines on other planets or space-stations. The craft
are piloted by an Autopilot but commanded through datajacks, rigger
controls, or trode rigs. Perhaps the PCs fly a craft but must board
exo-skeletons when the passages get too small. There could be other
exo-suited enemies or they might have to board an enemy ship. Could
be scaled down to some kind of cavern setting on Earth if your not
into that kind of thing.
Doom- A variety of demons and settings.
Maabus- An uncharted island is the source of radiation and the PCs are hired
to find out why. An ancient civilization, beached W.W.II
battleship, an old airstrip, and the home of an eccentric
millionaire (now deceased) all exist on the island. Mutants and
para-animals roam.
Rise of the Robots- A virus infects the mainframe of a robotics corporation
and all the robots that were programmed while it is on-line. The
runners must infiltrate the building, pass a number of crazed combat
and utilities robots and drones, and get into the mainframe.
Perhaps it was the work of the AI from Playing Dead.
Terminator Rampage- Infiltrating N.O.R.A.D., time travel, V-Tech technology.

Books

The Inhuman Condition- The knots that trap beasts, living hands, building
hell on earth.
Weaveworld- The weave as a gate to the astral plane, Shadwell and his
jacket. the By Blows. The Fugue, perhaps a gateway to the Astral
plane or to some weird meta-plane. The Shrine of Mortalities,
Immacollata's shrine. Her dead sisters, the Magdalene, the Hag,
etc.. The Rake, a wraith.
2XS- 2XS chips, B.T.L., insect totems.

Settings
These are just places that I thought could be interesting.

Matrixes

Alice in Wonderland- A matrix sculpted like the fairy tale.
The Golden Apple- Icons for data files.
The Quest for the Holy Grail- A matrix sculpted to look like Montey Pythons
quest for the Holy Grail. Perhaps the grail is a data file, the
bridge-keeper would be Probe IC.

Small Scale

Airports
Boats- Passengers boats, freighter, and fairies.
Bridges- Floating bridges?
The Cage- A bar with bars and wire that plays thrash music and gets real rowdy.
A Cargo Yard- A dock area with containers filled and empty, cargo cranes, etc..
Churches
A Dam
Docks- Small, large, cargo cranes.
A Giant Sun Dial- A sun dial that is placed on a rugged mountain top and is
so large that if you are standing on it is difficult to even tell
what it is.
Gravel Pits
Ice Gardens
The Lucky Stiff- A sleazy bar where Shadowrunners like to meet.
A Mental Institute- The Mad Scientist?
An Obelisk
Off Shore Platforms (Aztech Oil Rigs?)
Overpass- A freeway overpass, possibly spaghetti style or under construction
(remember the scene form Lethal Weapon III?)
Parking Garage- Possibly a multilevel airport garage or under construction.
A Prison (Natural Born Killers)
Skyscrapers- Under construction, Die Hard.
The Torque Wrench- A rigger bar.
Trains- The station, tracks and cars.
Warehouses
Wicked Garden/The Garden of Thorns

Large Scale

Africa- What the hell happened to Africa in 2050 anyways?
The Arctic- See alive in movie ideas.
Australia
Canada
Chicago (C.Z.- Containment Zone)- Before and after the Cermak blast and Bug
City.
A City Built Over a Sleeping Dragons Den
Denver (F.R.F.Z.- Front Range Free Zone)
The Middle East- Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Etc.. A place of constant upheaval,
anarchy, and violence. A good place to introduce mil-spec hardware
if you haven't already.
A Moon-Base- Alpha, Beta, Gamma, etc., in order as they were tested and
improved. Perhaps this ties to Zurich Orbital. Would be filled
with plants (mosses etc.) to generate oxygen.
A Penal Colony- An island or similar isolated setting, set up and guarded
with high tech equipment and magic by the government as a sight of
exile for real nasty criminals. Could be connected to the Judge
Dread theme or Bug City (Burning Bright).
The Pyramids- See the Funeral Mask in magical ideas.
South America
Space Stations- May or may not have artificial gravity. Would have a lot of
plants (mosses etc.) to generate oxygen. Could be based on Skylab
and Freedom (American) or Salyut and MIr (Soviet) projects.
Stonehenge
Tir Tairngire or Tir nan Og
Zurich Orbital/The Corporate Council- Perhaps ties to the Moon-Base setting.
Would be filled with plants (mosses etc.) to generate oxygen.

Here are some almost complete ideas I have put together, many of them from
bits and pieces from above-

Chicago Quarantine- See Bug City. Based on ideas from Burning Bright and
Escape from New York. Chicago goes into a state of total anarchy when an
insect hive breaks out in the city. The U.C.A.S. military seals the city,
claiming that there is a VITAS breakout within. Heavy military artillery
kills anyone going in or out.
Shortly afterward, a reporter begins to snoop and comes close to uncovering
the real reason for the quarantine, then she disappears. The PCs must first
find out what she was working on and trace her to Chicago. Then they must
find her and do an extraction. Perhaps she is held by a gang or something
inside who wants to use her as ransom or to blackmail an escape from
Chicago. The Judge Dread theme could be used within as a vigilante group.

Haywire's Implants- Haywire is one of my PCs. First, Haywire begins to
suffer from flashbacks of the tasks that have been washed from his mind
using a modified version of a datalock and techniques of brainwashing.
Haywire is targeted by Eco-Terrorists groups that targeted his parents corp
(his parents worked for a biotech R&D firm) because of the implants, he is a
travesty of nature. The corp. has implanted reflex recorders and datalocks
that are modified to make him perform tasks instead of skills. After
performing these tasks, the recorders force him to return to the corp.,
where his memory of the event is erased or replaced (Total Recall Theme).
Maybe he will discover the implants after being approached by
Eco-Terrorists, or maybe he will begin to suffer from strange flashbacks
(from the brainwashing) and pain in his spine. Could lead into the
invention of Bioware technology by Seikoshia implants (if you haven't
already introduced bioware) and a great run against the parent corp. Maybe
he is led to believe it is the terrorists who did it until he finds a file
the terrorists have built on him that names the problem.
Seikoshia would also be a good way through which to introduce teams and/or
operatives that have been spliced with animal traits (see new tech).

The Military Style- The PCs are hired to go in for a hostile extraction of
refugees in Lebanon (desert terrain) or Africa (jungle terrain) and must go
on a lengthily trip across the countryside. Lebanon is a battle ground, and
this adventure is a good way for the PCs to get into the military style and
high class running. See Corp. and Desert Wars. Best run when you are ready
to introduce mil-spec hardware and when the PCs are experienced.

Stolen Submarine- Could incorporate ideas from Subwar 2050, Sea-Quest, and
the Hunt for Red October. A militant group (terrorists, mercenaries,
corporations, or rival government) steals a submarine (perhaps a prototype
caterpillar, perhaps an old sub that is standing down). The sub falls into
the hands of less than moral people who take it to some isolated local (the
middle east or the arctic (maybe ideas from Alive or the Military Style?)
and the PCs are somehow aboard. Once they arrive, the sub is recovered or
destroyed, stranding the PCs where they are. Maybe they are directed to a
relief camp, and from there they must trek to an airfield and get to
civilization. Be sure to use available technology like, sonar, depth
charges, nuclear power (nuclear strike missiles?), hydrophones (underwater
listening devices), mines, etc.. Tactics include baffles, thermal layers,
and others (see Subwar 2050 manuals).
The PCs could have their trip on the sub "arranged" by an employer who
wishes them to take an item or escort a person somewhere near the subs
destination. Maybe they are taking a memory module w/sattelite or missile
passcodes or something. Perhaps the Johnson is connected with the group
that stole the sub and paid them to take the PCs as passengers. The PCs
could also be pegged by the government as being connected to the group and
the theft of the sub.
Using a blow by blow attack, the sub is damaged below water and the PCs are
forced to escape into de-pressurizing escape bubbles. They reach the
surface, under a layer of ice, and must wait to de-pressurize and cut
through the ice. Once on the surface, they have to go by foot to a "camp"
that was the destination for the sub. The bubbles are equipped with
survival gear (though limited).
The memory module the PCs carry is a set of passcodes into military
satellites. The terrorists plan to use the passcodes to intercept military
transmissions, learning the sites and routes (in the case of moving targets)
of long range nuclear missiles, among other things. They could seize a
missile (or more) and with that as a threat they would carry a great deal of
power.

That would be woodelf (with a lower-case "w" :)'s RPG links page. If you go
back a bit (drop the shadowrun.html) and you should arrive at a page with
links to _lots_ of RPGs.
