Banks in SR would not go through that much effort to secure money through
difficult encryption devices like Powerhouse suggested. The emphisis would
be on money tracking and account verification. If the amount of the balance
on a back account suddenlyed jump without a verified and traced deposit, the
bank computer would notice. How? I don't know, buth they have 60 years to
figure out how to do it. Plus information on accounts would be backed up on
offline memory that would occasionily be connected for the purpose of
verification and updating.

Any decker foolish enough to just increase the amount of money in a bank
account would be seriously disappointed in the results.
