Hoi,

Everyone was talking about Dikoting Spurs a while ago.
Someone asked if they might be able to use a cougar fineblade.

I was thinking,
Why not put a monofiliment wire on the edge (ala Ares Monosword)?
This would make it just as sharp as a dikoted spur.

Also, could you dikote hand razors? Specifically the Carbide
replacement razors?

Thanx,

Green Dog

It wouldn't be quite as effective -- if you compare the Damage Codes of
the normal sword and the monosword, the difference is a +1 Power Level,
whereas dikoting adds +1 Damage Level.

I don't see why not.

Well, I have no opinion about that, and I have no opinion about me...

I don't think that it is so easy to handle with monowires. You need
spezial gloves even to touch them. How do you want to paste these
wires onto the blades ? IMO it needs more than a usual weaponsmith to
produce such weapon. - Just my opinion

If you have a good contact to ARES then a spur is as good as a
monoblade as every other blade !

Dikoted Monospurs, anyone? =) This is obviously an either/or scenario, but
what relevance would both Dikoting and a Monofilament edge have on spur
injectors(as seena very long time ago in a KA-GE issue)?

It's pretty hard to deposit Daimond (carbon) onto a carbon-rich surface
(carbide)..... You'd end up burning the carbide, besides, carbide (ie
Tungsten carbide) is hard enough that it wouldn't need dikoting.
