Back to this damn thread :)

But I was wondering about ..... what if you were to grow fungus (or
whatever) on sheets that one could be placed in between walls. If
you made these sheets self-reliant, able to keep the culture under
control while still keeping it alive, would that block astral sight
or would that be considered too processed even though alive?

it would block astral sight, any thing that is solid on the physical side will
block astral sight.

The correct question is "Will it block astral movement"

To this i would reply - it truly would depend on your concepts of what would
block astral travel. For me personally, if it where just fungus culture, I
owuld say no, but if where larger - possibly yes.

Rememeber though, to grow, they would need water, and you would be giving
cockaroaches a nice meal and breeding place, as well as other bugs.

If you have a whole inside of a wall covered, like I think the original idea
was, then it should block astral movement very nicely. Regardless of how
"processed" the living tissue is, it is still living, so it would block
astral movement.

To use the immortal words of Brian (now stuck at Nature COmpany)--
'been there, done that." That idea is plausible and has even been used
by some GMs in our group.
