I just had a particulatly perverse thought for a new type of insect spirit (uh
oh!) which reproduces even faster than any of the others (ack!) and in which
the females are by far the most common type (run for the hills!)... It may be
time to devise stats on the dread mosquito spirit!

(Hey, I'm a Minnesotan. I ants are the only type of bug I may have encountered
more of than mosquitos... I can't believe I never thought of this before...)

Right. Max force 1. Able to suck essence and spread meta-diseases.
Attracted to heat sources like oncoming headlights and blast furnaces.
Have the deadly "annoy" power which makes the victim slap him/herself once
per round at (3\4 * str) L stun.

I agree... more bugs!

Also... less elven influence!
More power to the dwarves!
More Aztlan!
More NAN!
More Japan!
More guns!
More cyberware!!

In regards to the last bit, I know a lot of people are already disgusted at
how cyberware has finally come close to being worth as much as magic, but
here's the good part. Technology can only advance. Magic will always be
the same. Soon will come the time when technology surpasses magic. When
the mana cycle starts on it's way back down, technology won't suddenly
regress with it. It'll still be there and be better than ever.

I am starting to like spellcasters quite a bit, I even play one and have
another that I am itching to play. Magic is an integral part of the game
and I wouldn't have it any other way. I would, however, like to see
technology improving at a reasonable rate. Shadowrun technology is
advancing far slower than today's levels.

And finally... let the horrors go free ;)

it probably meant that Dirk is the re-incarnation of someone that
Harlequim had already met before. As stated on the book Nosferatu, many
people are re-incarnation of former elves, orcs, etc. But we are never
going to find that out right? Now that Mr. Findley is dead....the story
died with him.

Since I was slow reading House of Sun (I left it at my parents house), I
started reading Worlds Without End, only then did i figure out that guy
was Harlequin. Ania makes reference to the Maui incidence and everything
clicked.

Try saying 'Quintin Harlech' in the opposite order like that Tir
corporator a few times, now speed up if you brain does not make a
very familiar substitution something is going on. [FASA subtle.. ]

'Worlds Without End' makes it all very easy! It also points out more
than that.
Harlequin tells Ania that the runners stayed about to guard the
'bridge' after his metaplanar quest (HB), well those who have read or
finished this adventure might have things to say about his knowledge.

Harlequin implies the portal on the mountain was straight to the
'enemy's' [horrors] plain. Yep had it not been shut double quick we
could have had a full on scourge, even HB was not that direct a
threat.

The book implies the only immortals are elves. It would be a real
pity if this was so as it would truely make elves 'special'. It would
be nice to have other races immortals as well. On this subject the
only possible hint so far is to compare artis 'Adam Alone' (SR2) with
'?? forgot the name' the ruler of Kratas in ED, pity one it color and
the othe black and white but if they are one and the same person
thats an immortal (orc i think).
