The round could not be entirely made of Phosphorous since it would
burst into flames before it was even fired. (I don't think you could keep
every bit of surface area covered in oil all the way until it leaves the
barrel.) You would have to fully jacket the bullet in some metal that would
not react with the Phos. A full copper jacket should work. Can anyone else
provide better info or elaborate?
BTW, the phosphorous would not burn too much if in a deep wound
since there would be no air for it to burn with there in the wound. If the
wound were rather shallow and the Posphorous were exposed to air then Mr.
Target would not be happy.

>Generic Armor Piercing (GAP) - a Predecessor to APDS

Are these the Teflon coated bullets of today? I don't think the
above bullets would work because the above materials are not dense enough,
hence heavy enough to transmit the ol' KE. Plus, Teflon is made from a
material that really doesn't like to do too much (except be hard as hell
and sit there) while Kevlar (what Kelvora is derived from?) is a plastic.

>Armor Piercing Incendiary (API)

>Armor Piercing Rounds with a soft Incendiary Tip are the general
>category of these rounds. These rounds are made for _Heavy_ damage.
>Effect: +1 to Power, -2 to Ballistic

The soft incindiery tip defeats the purpose of being armor
piercing. I think the optimum arrangement would be to have a core of
phosphorous surrounded by a copper jacket and Teflon tipped.

>Armor Piercing Fletchette (APF)

>These rounds are made in the fashion of GAP rounds but are sculpted to

Here we have a real problem. The tendency to tear because it is a
flechette will slow down the bullet, making it less capable of penetrating
armor. Unless someone can come up with a good idea I don't think these
will really work. (I really like this idea though. Eeewwwwww!!!)

>Uranium Depleted (UD)

>Just a proposal from Quiktek and CrossFire. What do ya think.
>Effect: +2 to Power, -2 to Ballistic, -1 to power for each range category

You could negate the degradation in power due to range by putting
more powder in the shell. Putting more powder behind the bullet is a good
way to tear up your gun though. You might want to have 2 type of DU
bullets: Normal and hot loads. Normal will have the degredation in power
due to range while the hot loads would have rules for breakdown of your gun
after prolonged fire.

>Chemical Rounds (CR)

>These rounds have a hollow point which is designed to carry a small
>amount of a toxic chemical. When the round flattens out, the chemical
>is released into the bloodstream. Common toxics used are Mercury,
>Cyanide, and Striknine (SP?).
>Effect: Varies with chemical used, Use best of Balistic or 2x Impact for
>Resistance, -2 to Power. This does not count for the chemical.

Actually the Mercury tipped rounds would be more deadly KE wise
then chemically. The Mercury has such a high density that once it
splatters after the seal is broken the Mercury goes through everything!
Mercury tipped bullets exist today, but for different reasons.

>Diamond Tipped (Dikote (tm)) (DTR)
>Effect: Armor is ignored, -2 to Power.

Couldn't these be used for Armor Piercing rounds?

>COMMENT. Think and respond. Any additions, or ideas are welcome.

As per your request. Hope this helps...

Sorry if this gets to the list late but my system has been backed
