Not to insult your intelligence, but I still must disagree. A frame is
autonomous in the fact that it can act on its own. I find the FASA definition
of a frame as a viral construct to be a throw away term considering their
apparent knowledge of computers. Also if I remember correctly frames require
a controller program to be running in the cyberdeck while they are active. I
just can't remember if that's for all frames or just dumb frames (I really must
get the VR book back in my hands).

As for programs to do those things frames cannot, they have merit. Just be
careful while your writing them up.

Smart frames do not require a controller. And dumb frames have T# +
for being a certain distance away. So dumb frames just could not
operate awy from the deck. I was referring to smart frames.

O Ye of little faith. I hope you do not see me as a munchkin after all
this time, Nightstalker.

That's only the dumb ones; the main advantage of smart frames is that they
don't need Controller.
