Ok I am afraid to ask a question after the Skill Specialization thread. :)

BUT here it goes anyway!

"Ghostsuit"
"Ghostsuit" Helmet
Shadow Suit

What are these or where can I find the info on them? A new player in my
game seems to like the SRCG program and keeps finding things I have never
heard of.

I was also wondering...what is the size of the Skillsoft Jukebox? I was
assuming it would be the size of a laptop.

Hi Ed,

Ahh more PW stuff. I thought I told the player to take the net stuff out
of the SRCG program. Well I guess I should start sending my questions on
gear to Gurth. It seems to be all his fault my new player wants to be a
munchkin. :)

Thanks for the quick reply.

The next SRCG will clearly state which book the gear comes from, without
having to dig around in the .dat files or anything like that.. :-)

Now we just need to finish it. And PS '98. And all the other related
modules that should be finished first. And beta test.. and, and, and...argh!!

That seems fair given the Concealability rating, but it has no
(listed) mass. It need not be flat and bulky (like a laptop), just
obvious (as it would be if plugged in to your skull). Basically, it
should big enough to hold all the chips plus a player. Personally, I
figure the size of a microcassete player, plus one a cassette for each
chip. Call it 200cm^3 plus 20cm^3 per chip? (Or 6 cubic inches plus 1
per chip for us primitives).
Figure its about like a walkman, in size and use (with possible
cyber-control, of course).
When I first asked Mr. Boyle for one of these in our game, it was not
at all big, but quite obvious in use. The original idea was a device that
held a row of softs strapped to your head and actually slotted the chosen
soft into a right angle port adapter... hence the name. It was intended
for use under a chemsuit or helmet. The cabled version was what we went
with later, and incorporates more electronics, as well as not looking so
silly.

Plastic Warriors net.books are available from my site,

also says "ideal for combat" ... how many laptops are "ideal for
combat"?
Additionally, considering the availability of wrist and pocket computers
as well as the minimalistic functions the jukebox needs to carry out, I
consider them to be more the size of a walkman and only that big because
of the size and number of skillsofts it has to interface with at any
given time.

Ed, in the years I've known you, you still haven't figured out that my
page has RTF files with entirely too much equipment and other stuff
waiting to be downloaded? ;) I suspect that 99% of the items your player
finds in Paolo's SRCG that you don't recognize, will come from a Plastic
Warriors book (the reason being, I added all of them into the data files a
few years ago).

That sounds about right for an item with Concealability 3, I'd say.

I hope you're not saying that anyone using stuff from net.sourcebooks is a
munchkin...

I know they are there. I go to your site now and then to see if you have
changed it up any. :) I just never downloaded any of the stuff because I
was never sure if I wanted to add it to my world. From what I have seen I
think I want to stick with FASA stuph for now. You know I still love you
though! heh

And the ont that started the Skill Specialization thread which is now
Attribute Minimums. I should of just sent that one to you too unless folks
like to have heated debates on here.

Umm...to keep from causing anymore trouble here I will say...NO...I did not

Not so much that I like heated debates, but I was glad to see something like
this pop up, since it was getting a little dull around here for me.
Unfortunately, all the interesting stuff that happens with/to me is
interesting like the Chinese curse....

I have gambled way to much in the last 4 years...I am out of money!

Umm...well...if I start stalking you then I guess it could be bad for you.
I doubt this will happen because I do not travel that far...and probably
never will.

I am starting to think I should quit asking questions here. So far
everyone I have asked has started some huge thread. :)
