The Latest (1990) 'perfect ammunition'
The THV
the Tres Haute Vitesseround was invented by SFM
its a lightweight bullet with concave 'reverse ogive ' sides
it travels at very high velocity, giving Big energy impact
(in . 38 special it gives 688J..a normal load for . 38 spec is
more like 346j.)
It has remarkable penetration, low recoil, little ricochet.. but
the worse happens when it hit you...

The bullet is shaped to reflect resisting forces at 90 degrees
to the direction of travel,so that the shockwave is driven
SIDEWAYS THROUGH YOU...its like the bullet was about 2. 5 times
wider (so a 9mm bullet hitting you is like a 22.5 mm metal rod
smashing through you at 690m/s)

It is AP and increased damage.
The closest that ballistic experts have got to the 'Perfect
Bullet '

THV
ballistic armour halved
power + 3
street index 4+
(used by special forces/SWAT/ antiterrorist for 1st hit=kill)
(but can be custom machined for you if you can get a lathe and
the software/skilled operator to use it)

Careful...this is REAL and NASTY!

Note that THV won't ricochet or overpenetrate worth a damn.
A sheet of glass will protect you if you're behind it (but
only the once :-). It gives up all of its energy very quickly.
I beleive it was developed to reduce collateral damage to
innocent civilians by the French police.
