I wish I'd asked Tom Dowd to sign my copy (he was at the con I bought
it 3 years ago). Oh well.

I've got a signed copy of Millennium's End, though...

Now I feel really lucky. I found my hardcover SR2 in the used
games section of a local gaming store for 5.00. It was in excellent
condition. Maybe I should build a display case and buy a softcover to
use when gaming, eh? Didn't know they were that rare. Half the group I
game with has 'em, but the geeks all bought them new.

Well, considering how long our 1st ed hardback lasted before the binding
broke, I'd suggest getting a softbound version to play with anyway. My
first softbound version lasted over a year and through Desert Storm before
it gave out.

So, everybody's talking about how valuable and rare the hardcovers are.
I wonder if anybody knows of someone who really wants one, and/or what
they're worth.

Strange... My SR1 softback (first SR book I bought) lated for about 7
months and by that time the front 40 pages or so were all loose and the
back cover had come off. I then bought an SRII hardcover and that's still
alive today, over 3 years later.

Hmm, Gurth, what do you do to your books? ;) I still have my original SRI
softcover, and aside from losing page # 2, its still in pretty good
condition after about 5 years (I can't remember exactly when I got it).
Though I admit that it only had heavy use for about 1 1/2 of those.
